El Rio Golf Course in Fort Myers is a player-friendly layout that will appeal to players of all skill levels. It's an ideal course for beginners who are looking to get in some practice on a full-length course. The layout consists of mostly par 3s and most of the holes are on the shorter side. Though it's a seemingly simple design, the greens have slopes that range from subtle to dramatic, which can make determining your approach to them a daunting task. Trees that line the fairways demand accuracy but the landing areas are generous. Much improved course
The course is in much better shape than two years ago.
The sand traps have real sand in them and are well cared for.
The fairways are in good condition and the greens also.
Great little executive course
Took a friend there for his first time and we had a very relaxing 18 holes and he agreed it was a great value for the price.
Very tricky
Some par 3 holes are not easy to play. This course needs to play target golf.
Fun Executive Course
There are many different length par 3's, so each tee shot is different. Although the par 4's are not terribly long, some are straight, others require a draw and others a fade. The course is in great condition. The staff is very friendly. This is a very enjoyable course to play.
Fort Myers staole
Usually busy in the early morning, especially after the snow birds arrive in January, however, pace of play is good . Really good staff. Course layout.is great for iron play and coupled with the par 4' , its makes for an enjoyable time. I am usually a single but have no problem hooking up with golfers who are great folks.

The staff took care of us as soon as we walked in. Friendly and explained the course layout and rules.
Was an older clubhouse with few amenities, but well taken care of. The greens needed some work but the fairways were in pretty good shape. Wasn’t real crowded so play pace was good.
Great Little Course
We play this course once or twice a year. Always enjoy it. Course was in great condition though the weather was a bit too hot. That should improve soon. We recommend this course. It's a bit tougher than the average executive course.
Fun but SLOW
This is a really fun course With a great layout! Being short you can definitely score well but they’ve laid it out to give some tough golf shots, even for experienced golfers. I enjoyed my round which was a great value at $26 but I give 2 stars for 2 reasons.
1 - the pace of play is SLOW. At 3,004yds total, there no way this course should take more than 2hrs to play even walking but my round today took almost 4 thanks to a 5some & 4some not letting anyone through. A Marshall would sure be nice since at one point we had 5 groups stacked up at the tee box.
2 - the other knock on El Rio would be their greens. If you’ve ever wanted to putt on shag carpet, this course is for you!! Mow them every now again!

Summer conditions
Great course for irons and wedges. Greens felt, sounded and looked like a carpet, could use a good mow or two each week. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Fun Course - Great Staff - Great Price !!
Had a great time with friends today. Course was well laid out and in great shape for the price. Staff was friendly and engaging. We will return and highly recommend for azad fun afternoon on the course.....
Good Neighborhood Course
We play here about once a year. Always enjoy it. Today was especially nice as the course was not crowded. We got around quickly and without incident. Wish golf was always this nice!!

Nice course to practise irons
Frindly staff, nice course, not much challanging, only some holes are nearby. Unfortunately there was a „drunken“ flight in front of us took long time to hit a ball or the green.
Greens were a bit sandy, but ok.
Small executive course was in decent shape.
Played the front 9 in a litte less than an hour.
Back 9 left after 15 waited longer on tee box than it took to play the hole.
Nothing really bad about the course but for what I pay in Canada for a regulation size course it is lacking.

Have played here numerous times and it’s ok. Not the best course but it’s convenient to where we stay and the price isn’t too bad though Golf Now
