Country Club of Silver Springs Shores

The greens were nice and the layout was too. Unfortunately the overall course conditions were poor. At one time this must have been a nice course. But the fairways and cart paths were in poor condition and/or torn up and the on course bathroom was so filthy is was unusable. It looked like someone had deliberately smeared feces all over the toilets and sinks and there was trash everywhere.

They are working on the course, and have put some gravel down to smooth out the cart paths, If you have to go to the bathroom on the course find a tree, the restrooms are something out of a third world country, the restrooms inside are better but that ain't saying much. The club house is in terrible shape thru and thru, so if you are there for the ambiance you are in the wrong place, the course is fun and the greens a good, nobody has course etiquette there people drive right up to the greens, they don't care.

Looks like it was once a top notch courses that has fallen on hard times.

Have played this course many times in the past. It’s a little rough around the edges, but very playable, especially the greens. Overall, the greens were great and putted true. Watch out for the downhill down grain putts. Only a couple of greens had some bad spots, but these spots were not near the hole. We had a foursome with a 10:30 tee time on a sunny, but brisk day. The main issue we had were so many twosomes and threesomes pushing us all day. We were not slow at all. We teed off behind a twosome, and then here comes another twosome right behind us. Let them go through on third hole, and here comes another twosome on fourth hole. We let them through on hole five, and then here comes a threesome on the seventh hole. We still played the front in two hours. We finally let the threesome by us on thirteen, but as it turns out, they were part of a major group of threesomes playing behind us. And they then had to wait behind the green on eighteen for their groups to come in. They were running to their ball behind us, and parking their carts within five yards of the green and/or on the fringe on certain holes. We were not inclined to let them go through for parking their carts where they did, but we were tired of them rushing up behind us. Even after letting three groups go through, we still finished in four hours. There was no ranger at all on the course, but wish there had been. We still had a good time despite what was happening behind us.

Course is in good shape. Greens/Tee boxes being over seeded when I played

Corse plays well. Probably the best greens in the area. Wish they would invest some time in clubhouse and cart paths
