Great home course playing it once a month.

I thought the course was in good condition considering the fact we are in drought conditions. The greens were in good shape and rolling well . This is a good value course to play.

Area is going through a drought. Greens were in ok shape. Traps were in ok shape some had water in them even though it had not rained in a few days. Some traps needed to be raked out. Course was ok

There's a drought in the area, so brown fairways are expected from a muni, but the greens were in name ONLY. Very fast and fairly true, but totally browned out. Bunkers could use some more sand, club bounced on every shot. Also couldn't hit my range balls because they were short on golf carts and I had to wait for someone to finish playing and I didn't have time to warm up. Not the best first impression for sure, but the course actually played fairly well. Starter lady could use a little better people skills also.

Course overall was in very good condition. The staff is very friendly and did get us out early and the pase of play was great. As first time players at Ocala Muni the layout was very good and did make you think. Some pin placements were very tricky not only on the approach but putting as well.

We will be returning to play again.

Arrived on time for a 908 tee time, pulled to (wide open) #1, where a sign says start on #10- so we drive over there to find a logjam of players. We watched six different groups go off before we teed off, needless to say it was excruciatingly slow. We only had 2 players, so that added to our wait behind 4 older gentlemen who never considered letting us play through- it wouldn't have mattered as they were waiting for a twosome in front of them for the 1st several holes. The course itself is long, challenging and the greens are fairly well kept although were way oversanded currently but rolled true and fast.

Really didn't expect much from this course, it being a city run course and all, but I was wrong, I can tell the course in the summertime would be excellent, we played it after a month of frost just about every day so the grass was all brown but still in great shape, greens where nice and fast, and if you care about tee boxes they were also in great shape. Everybody was super nice definitely going back.

Course was in overall good shape. The Greens were very fast.

Booked a tee time at this course through GolfNow a week in advance for 1:24. When we arrived to the course and checked in, they informed me that our time had been “blocked off” due to a tournament, and that our time had been moved to 2:04. There was no email, call, etc. to inform us of this change.

We asked the worker in the pro shop if there was anything they could do since starting that much later would make finishing 18 holes difficult, and they told us our only option was to go to the starter. When we asked the starter, he told us we had to go to the pro shop.

We ended up talking with another group while waiting on the putting green, and found out that they had booked the 1:07 tee time and they had also been pushed back and not informed of the change. We were from out of town, so this was our first time playing here, but they told us that this was “par for the course” with current management.

Other than that, our experience here was good. The course was in good shape for a muni, with a fun but not overly difficult layout. Overall fair value for the price

A fair layout, well guarded greens, tough to gauge green speeds. Get a deal on GN and it’s a good test.

A must play course. Great condition. Fun to play, but not easy. Nice staff.
