Buffalo Creek Golf Course

Best municipal golf course close to the Tampa area. Imagine there was actually grass on the fairways. Greens in need of a little care. Pretty wide open which makes for a pleasant golf experience, however, could use a little more course detail which would bring it up to excellent. It is a shame so many big trees have fallen in the storm. A lot of elevation changes.

Greens are in rough shape. Sand on some that have been there for a very long time. Divots and just poor overall condition on most greens. Very slow play, group of 3 in front of us was teeing off from the back tees and had no business doing that. The ranger should have been speaking to them about playing ready golf. Extremely slow due to players waiting to hit when not necessary.

The people that work here are great.

The tee box and fairways are in good condition, some of the greens are in repair which makes for some tough putts. (But I appreciate them keeping up on the repairs to make them the best they can)

This is are go to course when in Florida. I have never had a bad experience there.

They do close the driving range a couple hours each day to collect the balls, a caged cart would be beneficial to keep it open all day, I’m sure it would be payed off in short order.

First time here and I enjoyed it. Glad to not be surrounded by homes on all the holes, like a resort course. Easy layout. Few blind shots. It had rained heavily the night before so it was cart path only, not many players, so kind like a private club for a day! Staff were very friendly. Low rate and comfortable carts

Most of the greens had some diseased areas that made made putting unpredictable or impossible.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Course was in great shape. Challenging but also fair. Will definitely be going back

Greens need work, too many of old cup holes visible. Seeing some repairs are being made

Fairways in better shape than some other local courses that I have played. Greens need work. Bald and /or burned out spots on most all greens. POP was excellent playing in a group of 3- played in 3 1/2 hours as we were about the 4th

Pace of play was torturous. Time slots farther apart and an on duty marshall may have helped

Fun muni course. Conditions were dried out compared to about a month earlier. Many greens are in tougher condition. Good layout and very friendly staff.
