Legacy Golf Club
About
Honoring the wishes of Lela and Charles Hilton, Legacy Golf Club is named in honor of their beloved son "Chip." He started playing daily at age 9 with a genuine love and excitement for the sport. He was on the Bay High School golf team, apprenticing with golf pro-Kenny Lind and made golf his vocation. As a professional golf instructor, he taught his students invaluable life lessons, emphasizing that golf is not a game of perfection but a comeback. He also believed golf was more than just a game; it was full of essential life skills such as patience, perseverance, determination, and overcoming obstacles and setbacks.
The golf club, established in 1965, is a championship course with challenging greens designed to test golfers with even the sharpest short-game skills. The fairways are generously sized with lakes and white sand bunkers that fiercely guard the elevated greens. Players should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The golf course is challenging but fair and enjoyable, making it a good test of skill without inciting frustration. Its playability, enhanced with three sets of tees, has made it one of Florida's most popular tracks. Legacy Golf Club also boasts extensive practice facilities, including a lighted driving range, chipping green, expansive putting green, Executive Course, and Bar and Grille.

Wet
This course does not handle rain well, but we know that. I don’t mind cart path only as I usually walk while my wife rides, but it was was messy in places for sure, clean and place rules here for 18. I will compliment the course crew on the greens, good speed,, rolled true. All said and done, good to get out and bang it around.
Very wet
Water every where. Took a while to adjust. Played alone in 2 hours.. 43 degrease
Nice Golf Course
Very wet from recent thunderstorms but greens were in good shape. Got a good deal on Golf Now. Excellent job by maintenance staff recovering from the hurricane
Best course in Panama City
My wife and I play with 2 other members 4 times a week. Greens are fantastic, fairways are always in great condition and the layout is challenging. After the hurricane, they immediately started clearing the tree debris. Had to spend a fortune getting it ready for everyone to enjoy. Even now most other courses are not even playable. Play it , you’ll love it.
Golf at the Beach
Excellent green, ok fairway very good sand trap. Have recovered relatively well following the hurricane, was one of a few course in area re-open. Lay out is however somewhat boring, everything turns right so great for slicer. Fairway were wet one round was cart path only the other was riding the fairway with some fairway still not rideable.
Played on Sat at 11:30 had the course to ourself, finished in 3:10. Course was wet from recent rain and was cart path only but we still played quickly? Will be back.
.
Busy course in Panama City beach
This course faired we’ll after the hurricane. It’s one of the few courses in the area. It’s always been a busy course but very convenient if you’re in PCB. It plays long..not easy to score well but always fun to play.
This is only only 1 of 2 courses open from the hurricane. Nice day to play and relieve a little stress. Course set up good and conditions of course following a hurricane were OUTSTANDING. Just a bit pricey, but worth it at the time.
Amazing conditions after the hurricane
The course lost numerous trees but they had the fairways cleared and clean. Greens were in excellent condition but really fast. Overall great course.
Great course
Played after Hurricane Michael came through. They had cleaned up the majority of the mess. Course is in awesome condition.
Mr Dave K
Good course for thee money. Staff was very good. Pace of play was slow.
Good course for the money.
Good course for the money. Rained right before I played so the course was a little wet and cart path only. Overall the course was in good shape and a good practice round.
Vacation golf
Like the layout and course is nice. The greens were aerated but still not bad to play on. The sand was nice to play out of and the fairways were great.
Great course, but horrible rates
We played at 1233p today, and there wasn't hardly anyone on the course the entire time we played. You think maybe it's the normal $75 green fees? I think so. I live in PCB and if it wasn't for the Golf Now app, I'd never get to play here. Is it a really good course, yes. Is it a great course, not by a long shot. Played there twice and shot 75 both times. Lower the rate for locals and watch how much more money you'll make.
Staff was great
Staff was extremely friendly and cooperative. They explained the return policy should the weather close the course. Pace of play was extremely slow. I mean REAL slow, Snack bar was overpowered. Only one waitress and probably 20 golfers for after round beers. Great greens.
Great greens
Had fun day of golf out there. The course was in great shape. Tight fairways, the rough was not over punishing, and there were enough wide open spaces to give you some confidence off the tee. There are a few holes that force you to lay off the driver and play some target golf. It makes for some interesting shot choices. The greens were excellent! I mean the best I’ve seen all year. They were fast and true. All in all, it’s a nice course with nice people and outstanding greens.
There is a "local" program available, but you have to ask for it. It is only available for residents.
