About
Honoring the wishes of Lela and Charles Hilton, Legacy Golf Club is named in honor of their beloved son "Chip." He started playing daily at age 9 with a genuine love and excitement for the sport. He was on the Bay High School golf team, apprenticing with golf pro-Kenny Lind and made golf his vocation. As a professional golf instructor, he taught his students invaluable life lessons, emphasizing that golf is not a game of perfection but a comeback. He also believed golf was more than just a game; it was full of essential life skills such as patience, perseverance, determination, and overcoming obstacles and setbacks.
The golf club, established in 1965, is a championship course with challenging greens designed to test golfers with even the sharpest short-game skills. The fairways are generously sized with lakes and white sand bunkers that fiercely guard the elevated greens. Players should be prepared to use every club in their bag. The golf course is challenging but fair and enjoyable, making it a good test of skill without inciting frustration. Its playability, enhanced with three sets of tees, has made it one of Florida's most popular tracks. Legacy Golf Club also boasts extensive practice facilities, including a lighted driving range, chipping green, expansive putting green, Executive Course, and Bar and Grille.

The course is in great condition
Great course, challenging but forgiving. Pace play was slow.
New Greens But fairways do not drain well
Played first time since greens redone. They will need to work in as hard as rock currently and very challenging. Food Service good pro shop average

There was a bit of a kurfuffle upon registration. My name was not in the computer although I had a confirmation printout from GolfNow. Ten minutes & a phone call later had me out getting a cart & paired up with the rest of a foursome who were friendly enough.
Course played well.
A tee off time of 1 p.m. makes it dusk coming in for the 19th hole...difficult following the ball on the fairway for the last couple of holes.

The course was in decent shape. Some trees. Some water. Light rough that's not much worse than the fairway. It's hard to think of anything that really distinguishes this course from others; it's a typical Florida golf course. It was an enjoyable experience and I would be happy to play it again.
Nice course and an excellant value when compared to the surrounding courses
The course is in very good condition and compared to the surrounding courses it is a very good value, considering that you are in a tourist corridor.
Good all round course
Following a problem with a previous booking at another course, phoned Alex who very kindly arranged for a complimentary round at this course. This was very greatly appreciated and spoke volumes as to customer relations. Many thanks Alex.
Fun Course
This course was fun from the start. The staff was great. The course is a challenge with small greens that were very smooth. Overall A+
Not for a novice golfer
Doesn't look as difficult as it can be, wide fairways and some difficult approaches to greens.

Challening Course
Great day, Course was challenging, still managed to play in 4 hours. Visiting from Canada with Friends who really enjoyed the course.
Speedy play
Wonderful course with good mix of wide & narrow fairways, pin placement, bunkers. Had a blast of a time. Good shots can be great for the "control freak". Greens are fast & flat for the most part. Break-reading required at the Master-level; the ball will slip to the side if speed not just right. I'll be back!!

Course was maintained well, and the greens rolled smoothly. Would definitely recommend.

The entire staff was very friendly. The marshall did very well in keeping pace of play.
The course was in great shape for all the rain they had this summer.
Never disappointed about playing at Holiday. Great and friendly staff. Always in great shape. Come down every year in October and we try to at least get one to two rounds.

Never had a bad lie in the fairway, greens were well maintained, fast and true. Very enjoyable.
It was cart path only the day we played which makes it harder to determine the overall conditions.
Very nice course. There had been extensive rain for days before our round, so the fairways were sloppy. Some other local courses were closed for the day, and Holiday probably should have been too. All in all it was an enjoyable day. We will go back.
Good, challenging but fair course. Small greens
Course in good condition and demands that you be able to move the ball both right and left off the tee.

Some great people running this place. The staff was so helpful with all my questions and needs. The course is in great shape and thanks to the rangers for helping everyone along the way.
I have golfed several different courses in the Destin/Panama City Beach area and haven't really had any bad experiences but it seems that I always return to Holiday.
Very friendly staff
Tee time was made on Friday and Sat AM was rainy prior to 12 noon tee time. Staff was very flexible and slid us back 30-40 minutes to be after rain ended. Course was in pretty good shape for the cost.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, Mother Nature left us with 1.5 inches of rain the day before you played. Carts were 90 degree rule with just #1 and #10 cart path only. We strive to give our customers a great experience no matter what the weather may bring us. Our new greens are currently only 5 months old and are in fantastic shape. As with all new greens they will remain firm but will soften over time. Thank you for playing Holiday and we appreciate your patronage!
