About
Lost Key Golf Club is conveniently situated equidistant from the historic downtown area of Pensacola and the pristine white sand beaches of Orange Beach and the Gulf Shores. The Arnold Palmer-designed layout was Florida's first golf course to be certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary. It underwent a major renovation in 2006 that included the addition of 2,200 native trees, 13,000 wetland plantings, and the resurfacing of the tees, greens, fairways, and rough. The golf course now presents a formidable test for even the most seasoned golfers. The greens are large and undulating and the flat fairways are lined with trees. There are also doglegs fairways on six holes and sand bunkers on several others. Lost Key Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 13th hole, which requires a tee shot over water to a partial island green that rolls across dramatic elevation changes.

The condition of the golf course is not the same as in the past.. Too many divots on the fairway.. There is no repair sand ready....Thank you.

Need to Manage Play
Teed at 11 - front 9 took 2 hrs&15 minutes - slow enough but then it got worse.
When turning, we discovered that 2 foursomes somewhere in front of us decided to go in, sit down, order and eat lunch. Then they came out and went to # 10 in front of us - so now 12 people are waiting on the 10th tee and we have an additional .
Front was open, so we went there again with starter's permission.
When we got to #11 tee, 3 foursomes were on the par 3.
That 9 took 3 hours.
No ranger, no monitoring of people turning from front to back.
When charging over $70/round there is no need to overfill the course nor mismanage what is oversold, be it rounds of golf or food in the restaurant.
Golfers should call from # 8 tee, order, pick up their food and eat it on the go OR lose their place in the queue until there's a gap.

Very tight.
This course is very narrow with a ton of traps and water on each hole. I'd leave the driver home. Greens were great for playing 1st week of March.

Great Greens
Other than great greens the course isn’t in the best condition in my opinion. Very sandy in many areas but for a coastal course should be expected. Challenging layout and the name “Lost Ball” is very appropriate. Enjoy!

Hard to find but worth the effort
Had a hard time finding the course but worth the effort. Greens were in great condition fast and true. The course is very challenging, accuracy is rewarded. Starter gave excellent advice on how to play the course as a first timer. Overall great experience and will go back.

Torturously Slow Play
The pace of play was so tortuously slow that it ruined our round. We quit after 16 holes, after waiting to hit literally every shot all afternoon long. (Why was there no ranger?) To boot, our friend who stuck it out to the end was surprised to find that the clubhouse was locked up tight—at 6 pm! (He peed outdoors instead.) This was billed as Snowbird Appreciation Day. Weird way to show appreciation, right?
So you knew it was Snowbird day and prob only came out for the lower rate but you are complaining about the pace of play lol… please show your appreciation to never return thanks in advance. Can I give you and your friend zero stars for being DA’s?

Ruff conditions
Interesting and tight course. No gps, very few distance markers, lots of cut ins to fairway, unseen hazards. But the playability if the "fairways" and tee boxes was atrocious! Horrible uneven junk.
