About
Lost Key Golf Club is conveniently situated equidistant from the historic downtown area of Pensacola and the pristine white sand beaches of Orange Beach and the Gulf Shores. The Arnold Palmer-designed layout was Florida's first golf course to be certified as an Audubon International Silver Signature Sanctuary. It underwent a major renovation in 2006 that included the addition of 2,200 native trees, 13,000 wetland plantings, and the resurfacing of the tees, greens, fairways, and rough. The golf course now presents a formidable test for even the most seasoned golfers. The greens are large and undulating and the flat fairways are lined with trees. There are also doglegs fairways on six holes and sand bunkers on several others. Lost Key Golf Club's signature hole is the par-3 13th hole, which requires a tee shot over water to a partial island green that rolls across dramatic elevation changes.

Excellent course.
I read previous reviews and was concerned it would be too difficult. I am so glad I decided to play it anyhow. It was a fabulous golf course and my wife and myself truly enjoyed our round.
Beautiful but super tight!!
The course is immaculate but it's very difficult. I lost ball after ball on shots I thought were pretty decent. The fairways are narrow and a lot of them funnel OB. I will not play again until I get much better.

Great Course with Challenging Layout
For such a flat course there are a lot of blind shots. Course knowledge is definitely a plus. Took 3rd round to feel comfortable with shot selection. Greens are great and roll true. Will definitely play again for right price.

Tight course
If you play Lost Key (Lost Ball) you better be a single digit and hit a very straight ball. Fairways are narrow, greens are narrow and have fall offs. All par 3’s hit the green or your ball is gone. I gave the course layout a 2 star rating due to the penal design. Pace of play was good as we were first or second group off, course is well taken care of but I would not play it again. This course will beat you down. If they could widen the fairways even ten yards it would be more fun.

Best greens in the area. Very challenging but fair...as long as you are in the fairway. Bring a few extra golf balls...used.

Best Kept Secret on the Gulf
Heard a lot about Lost Key, found it to be a very tight, challenging course but very fair. The greens were the best shape of any place I have played this year. Very impressed with this course, the layout and the staff were all very nice and welcoming. I will be back again soon! Can’t wait to get back out there!

Once you finally get there, the course is nice
Your GPS device will not get you to the clubhouse. It will send you to private gated entrances. You need to find the entrance on Perdido Key blvd. even when you find the entrance, there are no signs how to get to the clubhouse. We had to stop and ask workers. This course is not for the average golfer who cannot control their shots. You will lose at least a dozen balls. The course is in terrific shape, but the plush greens do not hold shots well. I am a 5 hdcp and could not bite up a wedge. Hit them straight, or stay away.
