About
Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of native wetlands, an abundance of hardwood trees, and a generous smattering of meandering creeks and sparkling lakes. The beautiful terrain sets it apart from other golf courses in the Atlanta area. The course is known for the numerous grass-walled bunkers filled with pristine white sand that are strategically placed throughout. The player-friendly greens are wide and approachable, but there is the occasional multi-tier to watch out for. The generous nature of the greens also allows for a variety of pin placements. The natural features of the landscape at Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club not only provide beautiful scenery but they also make for a more interesting game since they require you to get creative with your shot-making, especially when trying to figure out how to handle some of the tricky carries.

Pace of play
Great pace. Course is nice condition. Greens were inconsistent some slow some faster.
Unexpected find!
Didn't know what to expect and found a gem. Probably shouldn't post this, because the locals know what they have.

A little overprice, but a good course.
Pace of play was HORRENDOUS. I wish they would just send a ranger to put the spurs to it for gods sake. I had to leave after hole 16 because it had already been 4:40 minutes and that's all the time I had.
Aside from that the course was in decent shape. Greens were great, fairways were just ok.

Mr Davis
Great course to play it is coming around to be one of the best in the area. Course fees are a little too high for seniors. Also the carts are programed to not Go in certain areas which at times are a pain in the butt. Otherwise nice course to play. Some fairways needs extra care because grass is not growing as planned.

Good course and great layout but the pace of play is SLOW!
Unless you have the entire weekend free do not play!

Greens are perfect
Greens are a year old and roll pretty true, we’re punched a few weeks ago but doesn’t affect the roll. Cup liners sucked but you gotta protect the new greens. First one off for the day so I didn’t see a soul and was gone by 10:00

The Cart GPS is Detrimental to pace of play
The Current GPS system on the carts is poor at best!
On the initial hole there is a short blurb about the indication of restricted zones highlighted by a dotted yellow border. That Is The Only Hole That This Appeared On.! The rest of the time you have No Idea of a restricted area until you are in it! No signage! Nothing!
Several times it gave the indication to stay off new sod or newly seeded areas and that was certainly not visible!
The only aid the GPS provides is the yardage to the hole, front back and center! Nothing Else! Instead of aiding golfers and improving the pace of play it works as a hinderance and slows down the pace. The 14th hole is cart path only now! But there are no signs and the cart doesn't indicate any restrictions until you have entered the restricted area.
The GPS is frustrating and of no help. Great idea but most certainly doesn't meet your expectations. .

The Greens were excellent but the tee boxes were the worst I have ever played on. Most of them were dirt with very little grass.

Amenities
I was wanting to purchaer drinks from cart girl but never czme by. Was said since it rained only for ten minutes they just packed up and left. Was not happy as was hot. Wish they allowed coolers so I could bring some drinks to stay hydrated.

Incredible greens
The greens are the best I have played anywhere this year.
I love the layout of the course, championship quality layout.
Not a course to walk as there is long stretches between holes.
Staff and employees are super friendly.
One negative, no starter; and no Marshall to require larger groups to let slower groups play through.
One of my favorite courses this year!

Inconvenienced
Had a tee time here but was a very large group playing starting and the cashier offered to move us to heron bay which we did and had an excellent time so thanks for that. I do think if it’s a large group that a tournament size, and their shotgun starting then other tee times shouldn’t be available for that time frame.
