Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of native wetlands, an abundance of hardwood trees, and a generous smattering of meandering creeks and sparkling lakes. The beautiful terrain sets it apart from other golf courses in the Atlanta area. The course is known for the numerous grass-walled bunkers filled with pristine white sand that are strategically placed throughout. The player-friendly greens are wide and approachable, but there is the occasional multi-tier to watch out for. The generous nature of the greens also allows for a variety of pin placements. The natural features of the landscape at Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club not only provide beautiful scenery but they also make for a more interesting game since they require you to get creative with your shot-making, especially when trying to figure out how to handle some of the tricky carries.

The absolute slowest pace of golf our group has played at courses in the Atlanta area over the past 4 years. No sight of a Ranger all day to talk to the GROUPS in front of us.
Course layout has you going out, and never returning to the clubhouse until hole 18. This is fine, except that the drink cart finally showed up at hole 12 sporting an assortment of sodas and beers. Not a single Powerade or Gatorade available. 96 degrees at 5 hrs and 20 minutes was brutal.
Greens were good. Course was dry and a lot of deadpan, but understandable for the lack of rain and heat that we've had.
I wont play here again
The course is 18 holes straight no club house in the middle at the 9th hole.
It was slammed yesterday on labor day packed 100 degrees.
No snack cart driving around, went 18 holes couldnt buy extra beer, poweraid, chips nothing !
The course is way to long not to have some woman driving around with a concession cart, they could have made some jack yesterday $.
if I would have known I would have brought a lunch box or something.
Also the greens are dookie no fixes their ball Mark's out there.

Greens need some attention
First time playing this course and I wasn’t impressed. This course could definitely use some improvements first off I had my daughter with me and she had to use the restroom really bad but how the course is laid out you once you start you are nowhere near the clubhouse until you finish all 18 holes. I figured since that was the case there would be rest stops but there was only 1 portable restroom that was very dirty after hole 12. Finally my last complaint would be the greens. They were in terrible shape from several divots that were never fixed and there was patches of dead spots all over. Very difficult to make putts from distance in these conditions. I really enjoyed how challenging this course was as far as how each hole was laid out but greens need to be fixed.

Crystal Lake never disappoints!!!!
Have been playing here every since it opened. Great layout and the front side can really get you back on your heels. Greens were good but not great but everything else was awesome. Note, it was nice to see the extra water on the course. Little stuff like that is awesome. There is only one thing that I have said from day one and that would be to build a net on the right side of practice range so when you search for a shot that went left on the first hole, you did not have to run through 50 from the range. Best values in Atlanta bar none. Always a good time!!!

Thirsty!!
Playing on a Sunday afternoon with the temperature in the mid 90s with a heat index over 100, no water in ANY of the jugs on the course, no cart girl, and the turn takes you nowhere near the clubhouse. Leaving this review mid-round so my family knows where to look if I don’t make it home from heat exhaustion

Beautiful course layout. Tee boxes and fairways were nice but the greens could use some work. There were many unfixed divots. Greens weren’t terrible but they weren’t great either. Overall this course was fun to play and I would be back because the layout was beautiful and the value for the money was great. $22ish for a tee time at 2pm on Saturday! Thanks golfnow!

Looking rough
Greens were in the worst condition I have seen in the 8 years I have been playing here. Didn’t have a putt all day that was affected by an old or new ball mark. Think I will take a break from playing this course for a while.

Good conditions
Course is in good shape, greens and fairways. Pace of play was good, 3:20. It would be good if there were more water stations, especially on these hot days.
