Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club sprawls across a scenic landscape of native wetlands, an abundance of hardwood trees, and a generous smattering of meandering creeks and sparkling lakes. The beautiful terrain sets it apart from other golf courses in the Atlanta area. The course is known for the numerous grass-walled bunkers filled with pristine white sand that are strategically placed throughout. The player-friendly greens are wide and approachable, but there is the occasional multi-tier to watch out for. The generous nature of the greens also allows for a variety of pin placements. The natural features of the landscape at Crystal Lake Golf & Country Club not only provide beautiful scenery but they also make for a more interesting game since they require you to get creative with your shot-making, especially when trying to figure out how to handle some of the tricky carries.

Very good course
Greens were a little slower than normal, but I think that was from recent aeration. If it was closer to me, I would play it more often.

The course was in good condition. A few spots needing some attention on the edges of the greens and in the fairways, but overall good. I would play it again.

The course was closed but I was still able to book a tee time through GolfNow. Pretty disappointing.

Challenging course; good change of pace if willing to travel
As I live on the north side of town, I had to travel a fair distance to get here, For those looking to add some new variety to their usual rota of courses, I'd recommend this course. It is a challenging and interesting layout with plenty of distance (>7,200 yards) from the back tees. I've given the conditions 3 stars, but I think 3.5 stars would be more fair. The greens were soft and slow, but we're in the heat of the summer and for less than $50, I didn't feel cheated. it was not crowded on Sunday afternoon, so pace of play was swift and etiquette appropriate. Playing by myself, I had a two-ball let me through on 10 and ceded ground myself to another single who was playing so fast I couldn't keep up.
To be clear, if I lived closer, i would be a regular visitor to this course. As it is, I will be back at some point.

Good course for all types of golfers
Currently a 10 working to get lower, this course helps. Layout doesn’t go back to clubhouse which kinda sucks. We went back after nine and nobody cared. Then saw a cart girl at 12, I would go back and I would bring friends.

The course is in really good shape, greens were a little spongy but other than that it was superb. If you live in the Hampton/ McDonough area then this is the best course to play!

Fair Course
Advertised as gps equipped golf carts and this wasn’t true. Without the gps golf carts, we felt the course yardage/markers could have been more visible.

Nice track
First time playing the course. Great layout and course conditions were very good overall. This course would be awesome with Champions Bermuda greens. It's just too hot in the summer for bent grass around here. Based on the greens conditions I don't believe $60 is a good value for this course right now. But since Covid, every course in the metro area is price gouging a little these days.

Course in good shape except sand traps but played in less than four hours.
