Summerfield Crossings Golf Club

We had a 9:15 am tee time and the starter got us off at 8:50 am. After a short back up on the first two holes, the pace of play was excellent. Overall, the greens were in good shape. There was only one green that was in poor shape. My only complaint was that the tee boxes were in poor shape. The course has a challenging design and it well worth the cost to play. The par 5, hole 3 is a tough hole. You must land your tee shot in a small area then hit over a waste area to a small fairway.

Once we were done, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet in the clubhouse.

The course is in poor shape. A good bit of the poor conditions can be attributed to the excessive rain in the area lately, but the greens were garbage. Not one green was free from dead grass and most had areas that you just can't put from. The tee boxes are all crab grass and no where near level. The practice facility may as well be non existent. The tee box for the driving range is dirt with very small patches of grass.

The staff is good, as they try their best, but the course is just not worth playing in the summer at all.

This was a nice course laid out well and challenging. My only wish is for better maintenence on overall course.

This course is for short making players not long hitters. It is definitely an excellent course for the money.

The layout of this course is one of those that I rank up there at the top. It's a must play is the GOLFNOW rate made it super affordable. Can't wait to play again.

Stumbling out of bed to my 8 am tee time I didn't expect much from a $30 round of golf located in the suburbs of Tampa. Yet as I went through my day I realized my $30 was well spent. The staff always greeted me with a smile and made me feel at home. Along with the staff the course was one of challenge yet also a fun layout for anyone regardless of their golfing ability. Highly recommend to check it out before the rates go back up in the winter.

Overall condition of course was fair at best. Many areas were weedy and many burnt spots. Many bad spots on the greens where you should never have them

Drove a little over an hour to play this course. Probably would not drive that far again. Nice resort course with very narrow fairways with not much room for error. Used a lot of irons. Left driver in the bag. Great for working on accuracy but not much of a chance to grip it and rip it.

If you are looking for a well manicured golf course, move on. However if you are looking for a decent golf course on a budget, you should be satisfied with this track. Greens play a lot better than you would expect by the appearance. They are sneaky fast and the ball runs very true (for Bermuda). Interesting holes. All in all a great day was had by our 3some.

I want to give Summerfield Five-Stars, but just can't. The staff is always super friendly, the layout is good, and I always seem to get paired up with good people when I play there. Now for the bad. The course is rough shape. The greens are fairways are decent, but the tee boxes are horrible right now. This isn't unique to this course and maybe it's due to the time of year, but the tee boxes are seriously horrible. For the price I expect more from a course with regards to grounds upkeep. I'll still continue to play here, but Jason and Crew please get the tee boxes squared away. Cheers!

My first visit, but not my last. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Not a fan of the gas carts, but they get you there.

Fairways were plenty wide and forgiving yet still had its challenges. Greens weren't perfect but had enough character that made for thought provoking and trying putts.

Played here several times Excellent value very friendly staff Nice layout from the tips! My personal opinion I dislike gas golf carts! They are way too loud there disturbing to the homeowners and other golfers plus the gas fumes just saying !

Several other nice courses in the area. This course was just ok in pretty much every aspect. Nothing special or memorable about any of it...The staff was friendly and helpful, the course was not in top shape but neither was it beat up...just ok. The lay out was a little boring and not very challenging. I like to play lots of different courses wherever there is a hot deal within 30 miles I will drive and try it. I will not return to this course. Too many other nice courses near me to warrant a return trip to summerfeild.

We were in the Tampa area for the weekend and did an hour or so of research of all the courses in the area. We were extremely happy that Summerfield Crossing turned out so well for us. Course is in good shape with just a few greens needing some TLC, which will probably be great after Spring kicks in. Great layout with challenges for experienced golfer but forgiving enough for beginners. Greens rolled true with lots of multi level challenges. Staff was attentive and friendly and pace of play was great both of the days we played (early in the day). We all felt this was a fantastic value at about $45 a golfer.

This course puts a premium on the tee ball as the fairways are narrow but fair.

I was very impressed with the course design. There weren't any weak holes. The par threes were especially fun and challenging.

I've always avoided playing this course because of iffy reviews. I was pleasantly surprised.

It's not a great course and the conditioning was not perfect but I found it very enjoyable.

Course is in fair to good shape for a private/public course. It's a work in progress. Several greens need a little work. A few narrow fairways and enough woods and water to challenge the average golfer. Marshals ensure a good pace, never over a 4 1/2 hour round. It's a fun course for golfers of all handicaps and a good bang for the buck.

Overall a very fun day. Group in front of us were very slow. That slowed down pace of play

Course chosen as mid point for friends from Bradenton and Pinellas for us but still a hike for both of us. But had played recently with good overall experience and knew our friends would enjoy the challenge and the Island green Par 3 # 15. Good Hot Deal price sealed the deal. Course is very playable and second time around was definitely better for a few of the holes..i.e. #3 tight dogleg Par 5.

Suggest you choose your tee deck carefully as the Black Tees @ 5779 yards are plenty for most but low handicappers. We played a combination of Gold Tees for all except #'s3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 17 and 18 where we played the Blacks. Total closer to 6,100 yards. Easier on the Old Guys. Some spotty greens but overall they were acceptable and quite quick. Would definitely return for a reasonable price.
