Course Stressed
The course seemed a bit stressed, I have seen it in better condition, however for the price on a weekend, it was just fine.
Terrible..
Unfortunately, this course is on its last leg and barely holding on. It had been many, many years since I last played this course and it has deteriorated badly. I feel bad writing this review because it’s apparent they need the business and revenue but expectations for other golfers need to be set honestly. I genuinely hope they can turn it around.
Coweta Club
This course needs lots of work. They seem to have given up on it. Years ago it was a fantastic course and ran professionally. Now, it is awful.
Good very tight fairway course
Club house under renovations but a very kind family was setup at the run with great grilled food. I am a pretty good bbq guy and they were really good.
Greens on a couple of holes were not in good shape
Eager To Meet Your Needs
I had made a tee time, that was cutting it close, at best.
Then, there was an accident involving a tree service truck, that required two oversized wreckers, which blocked all of Hwy 29.
So, I called to let them know that I may or may not make my tee time & that I had really wanted to hit some balls before heading to the first tee box. Jordan told me not to worry & that I could still hit some balls, beforehand. Too, I could take off, whenever I was done ( no rush). Finally, with no one in front & no behind, there was never any pressure or frustrating wait. It was, as if, the course was all ours. We had a great time & if it weren’t for the course needing just a little trimming/maintenance, I would have gave it all 5 stars.
Course is in an incremental decline
We have played this course several times in the past. We like the course layout and since it is close to home it is very convenient. There is zero improvement to the clubhouse which suffered a major water leak, and it doesn't look they are going to make the repairs. The fairways are suffering. If you hit the ball on the fairway in several spots, good luck finding your ball. They are not mowing the Bermuda grass, and the balls disappear. Not sure what's going on or if they are waiting for a buyer. It is located in an area with million-dollar homes.
Do not recommend
The course was in bad shape. Didn't mow the rough. Clubhouse looks dated with on-going renovations not complete. Greens in bad shape - Cart paths were in poor condition. Drainage poor with gullies everywhere. Top 3 worst courses I have played
Coweta Club Arbor Springs
Course had a ton of rain but drained well.
Greens were a little slow.
Goat track what a pitty!
We thought that the course being in Arbor Springs would be great considering the amazing houses and surroundings. Well it was very far from that. This is what you would call a goat track. Fairways are bad, greens are terrible and bunkers are literally a trap. Its a pity as it has a lot of potential but is very poorly maintained
Very hilly
This is an extremely hilly course. Run down now. The greens are in bad shape. Fairways are fair and tee boxes are poor.
Coweta Club was “out of carts” and made everyone wait on next available carts to come in.
Good price
In the past we have played and the course has improved. Due to rain the course was wet but playable. Greens were very slow and tee boxes were adequate but cart path needs to be ripped out and replaced. The course is surrounded by expensive homes and the course is not up to the quality of the surrounding real estate. However, it's a fun and challenging course and the price is right.
Don’t believe the hate
While understand the complaints people have I think it’s too extreme. This was quite a fun course. Despite the greens being thick, not well kept and some bare spots around fairways it was actually a cool course to play. The fairways were very bouncy and I lost a good shot or two that inexplicably rocketed hard left off the fairway into the woods but I still enjoyed the challenge presented here. My 2 buddies and I are definitely willing to return.
It’s a golf course
Course is a very challenging with the very tall hills. When considering the design you can see how it would be challenging to maintain but you notice the lack of attention when you end up in a bunker that has weeds covering most of it. The greens have recently become much better but still not very good. Many tee boxes need to be repaired, and the cart path is very busted up. Overall if you’re looking for decently cheap golf and a good challenge then play this course, but anything else I’d avoid.
