Prejudice
I’ve played this course many of times and every time I go it’s like they don’t want people of color to be there. I’m also told I can’t play by myself (I never do just check in before everyone else), but once we start playing, I see people playing by themselves (white) all the time. I was even told I couldn’t get a key before my tee time…C’mon man!!! I’ll never play there again.
Terrible Management
Drove a distance to the course and entire party arrived early. 1 hour early to be exactly. No one on the course. Asked if we could go out earlier since no one was even on the course or warming up. Manager told us emphatically no. Said we should not have purchased cheap golf now tee times. Then said we should refund GolfNow and pay them. I was so mad but we waited the hour and played. Will never play again. Ruined the two tee times I purchased.
It has potential
It’s a cool course; can be difficult if you have the wild hit like me. I’m sure of some local movie star the ruined the local area bought it and invested some money it could be top notch
Back ups
We had a few slower groups ahead of us that held us up at some holes. That was alright as we weren't in a hurry. The Impatient groups behind us kept dropping their balls too close for comfort in an attempt to push through. Scheduling should be looked at a little more closely as I didn't enjoy the attitude or pushing from behind. I'll probably go elsewhere for a bit.
Course Condition
Greens were in very good shape a little slow just due to the weather and being in the fall. Pace of play was normal value for the round nine holes was very good with cart.
It rained in the morning.
Course was damp. Very few golfers out. Plan to go back.
Challenging
Coweta Club is challenging and long. Great golfing experience.
Challenging
The course has a beautiful layout through a nice neighborhood.
For Me, worth playing
Pace of play was bad due to a group of young people not adhering to Pace Of Play 2.5hrs for 9 holes. Played front nine instead of following slow groups. Finished in 1:30. So pace of play is usually not an issue at CC. Course was ok, as usual. Just Punched greens - it was posted so I knew beforehand. Basically worked on my driving g and iron shots. It was cheaper to play with GN price than few buckets of balls at the driving range.
Challenging Course, Suboptimal conditions
My first time playing this course, I was excited to try it. I'd read other reviews citing the conditions but was not deterred. The staff was very friendly and the carts are in excellent condition. As for the course, you can see that a decision has been made to manage costs. The fairways are decent and the greens were in very good shape. The tee boxes could use some love and missing the left, right, or long will likely result in a lost ball. Several times I was able to track the balls for myself and my playing partners and we were still unable to locate them when arriving at the ball. The rough is very high and the areas behind the greens are penal. Miss there and just hit your ball again. The course has a great layout and is challenging. You can tell that in its prime, it was a course worthy of the green fee. Now, it's a bit overpriced.
Worst course in Georgia
Carts die half way through round, takes an hour for them to come replace it, course wasn’t mowed , greens are awful, clubhouse is completely closed down, and the staff was incredibly rude. Avoid at all costs. Literally go anywhere else.
Pace of Play
Played on Monday morning Tee Time 18 holes and was finished in three hours. Green fees were great. Got the military and senior. Greens are in nice shape and a little slow. T boxes are still rough.
I’m speechless
Unfortunately,
I’m not able to come with the words to describe this horrible golf course. My cart mate said the course was goat track. I told him, no sir. This is a BILLY GOAT track. For $60.00, i think i should get double the money refund….
Enough said….
