Golf Advisor: Top 25 Most Improved U.S. Golf Courses
The course has a very nice layout with unique and challenging holes. Carts were new and in great working order. Greens had been top dressed but receive shots and putted very well. The only draw back was that the bunkers were very inconsistent with regard to the sand type and depth. The pace of play was very good. Some areas of the course are being worked on, but it did not interfere with play. It was a good value for the price.
This course is on its last leg.
I suspect any positive reviews for this course are paid for. obviously the money has dried up to support this once decent course. I'm not sure if the old dude behind the counter has recently been divorced or what but he obviously hates his job and the people that bother to come into that shop. The course conditions are awful. Save your money and try anywhere else. Wolf Creek about 20 minutes up the road is a far far nicer course and Summer Grove just down the road is nicer and you don't have to put up with that idiot.
manager is disgruntled
1st of all if you're playing by yourself you have no choice but to be in the same cart with a complete stranger. The only thing worse than the conditions on this course is the extremely rude staff. If you do want to play this cow pasture better hurry up because it won't be in business very long.
Rain had stopped
We took a chance on the rain stopping and it turned out to be a great day to play.
Cart path only and the greens need cutting , but we kind of knew this going in.
I’m a regular here and it was great to get out.
Maybe tomorrow they can get caught up on there mowing.
All in all it was good to shoot another round in the mid 80’s
Tough but exciting
Upon arriving at this course 1 thing I would like to say is their address both on golf now and their website is incorrect, and will lead you into street of houses, just look for coweta golf club.
Overall the staff inside was helpful, and kind, it was a slow day with not many golfers. They gave me a few tips, like not driving off of the 6th tee as there is a creek that balls that go over 150 will roll into due to the downward hill.
The course is really hilly, leading to lots of blind shots, hard ball management aka finding the ball, and some interesting course hazard features. The greens where nice, not too fast not too slow, and the fairways where great. Even the rough was maintained well enough to find a ball. But, DO NOT HIT into a bunker, bunkers are hard pan with almost no real sand, they are very dried out, overall this course was fun to play, definitely will go back as it’s a challenge for sure
No one Here !
I had a great day of golf. Hardly no one there. Played all by myself and never had anyone in front or behind me. Was a relaxing day. Golf game not so good, but had fun. Course is average public course, without the crowd. Greens were in pretty good shape. Well worth the GN special of $14.99 for 18 holes.
Always a pleasure
Over great condition and playability. Tee boxes could use some maintenance and greens are pretty slow , but in good shape.
