Great course in Washington
Nice course, challenging greens. Good bunkers, pace of play is usually good.
Great shape
Course is holding up very well to the weather this year.
Great Layout, Not what it Could be
The course is designed by Gary Kern, so it is a solid layout. When I first played this course 8-10 years ago, it was one of my favorites! The greens were fast and the bunkers well maintained. Over time, the greens have become softer and slower. The bunkers are not being maintained with the same sand they had when the course was new. I would rather pay $5-10 more per round to play the course as it used to be. As it is, for $20, I am not complaining. It is just that the course could be so much better. From the blue tees, this course is a challenge for all but tour quality players. Beautiful scenery and the management is doing a great job at keeping the pace of play reasonable.
I love this course
It is not the most perfect course as the front of greens are rough and tees are not cut close ! But for the price and the picturesque views and the lay out. There is no where in continental United States you could get a better deal ! “That I have played on “. The staff and organization treat you like you are a VIP ! I got the feeling I was family . From a loving family that is ! Hehegege. Thank you Wolf Hollow for another great Golf exsperiance!
First time playing here
Course was in great shape considering the recent lack of rain. Only a couple of greens had issues and most of that was a few patches of crab grass and lack of people fixing or improperly fixing ball marks. Fairways were in excellent condition. A couple of tee boxes needed some love but most were well above average. Well worth the drive out to play here.
Great course!
The course was in great shape! The only problem we had was the foursome in front of us was very slow. I don't think the course did enough to get them moving along.
Challenging Course
A lot of elevation. Greens in great shape. Friendliest staff in town.
Great Course
Very nice. Greens and fairways were in great shape.
Great Day
Course was in great condition and and an excellent value. Greens were in good condition but slow. Bunkers have very coarse sand and the rough is "rough" with a lot of weeds. Zoysia fairways are in great shape. Would definitely go back and recommend to others. You can't beat it for the price.
Continues to Impress
We typically play this course once or twice a year, but we definitely need to increase our play after our most recent visit.
It's apparent they take a lot of pride in maintaining this course. With the near drought conditions in the surrounding area this course stands out with green grass fairways and rough. The greens are second to no other course in the STL Metro.
The course design with it's hills and uneven lies challenges even the best players.
We look forward to another round here soon!
Great Course
Great greens that are indeed challenging and the fairways demand you hit the correct areas.
Senior Scramble
The course was what I expected from what friends had told me. I will definitely play again. The only issue I had was I played during the week and there was a Senior Scramble in progress when I arrived. They started us on the 13th hole and it didn't take us 4 holes to catch up to them. Our 2some took 5 hours to play.
Allot of slope
You need to land the ball in the correct area or with the severe slopes you may end up in trouble in fairways and greens.
A GREAT PLACE TO PLAY
If you are looking for a challenge and like to play many different shots including uphill downhill and sidehill lies this is the place. The management is super friendly and wants you to have a great time.
The course is always well maintained. Not an easy course but still fun and the scenery is great too.
fun
if you haven't played this course get out there. we had several greens that they were aerating and sanding so we couldn't finish the holes and we still had a blast. greens are fast and tricky which is how they should be.
