Great Course
This was my first time playing Wolf Hollow and I really enjoyed it. The layout of the course is really nice, it's spread out, no houses in the course, scenic, hilly and challenging. The course was in really good shape, the tee boxes, fairways and greens were excellent, the only thing that needed work was the rough. It's a bit of a drive from St. Louis, but it's worth, especially for the price. I'll definitely hit this course up more often.
Good value - decent condition - suffers from layout
This is a good value when purchasing from Golf Now. The staff are friendly and the course condition is pretty good. Unfortunately, the design is lacking; there are too many blind shots some of which can result in a lost ball from what is a well struck shot. These blind shots and lost balls contribute to slow play.
Wolf Hollow
Love this course. Hadn't played it for about ten years. It will take you a couple of times of playing it to know the uphill/downhill yardage a, and slopes of greens
Pace of play good on front but slow on back. Lack of marshals
Thank you for your review and feedback! We are glad to hear you love our course. Please come back and play again soon!
Fun, challenging course with plenty of elevation changes
I've played Wolf Hollow probably 25 times. For the most part, pace of play is 4 to 4.5 hours. However, this last time I played was a Sunday at 1:00, and it was 37 degrees. Some may call me crazy for playing in this weather, but those that know me have seen me play in snow, ice, sweltering heat, and rain. I have a golf addiction. So sue me.
This past round, it seemed I had the course to myself. I finished in 2:45. The greens were in fantastic shape, considering this was in February. They appeared to have been recently mowed. The fairways and rough we also in good condition, as the course has pretty decent drainage.
Overall, the course challenges me (16 handicap). I play occasionally from the blues (to challenge myself), and with all the elevation changes and sloped fairways, it's a tall order to keep the ball true and straight.
The staff are super friendly and helpful. Food is simple, but yummy.
If you want a Missouri course that is full of elevation changes, elevated tees, well-positioned bunkers, I recommend Wolf Hollow to you.
Great Public Golf Course...will play again
Despite all the rain and horrendous weather of the past few weeks, Wolf Hollow is in good shape. Will only get better as the season goes on. Played it from the blue tees, plenty of length and challenge. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Very enjoyable course to play.
The staff and golfers are super friendly. I always meet people who are fun to play with. The course is in good condition. Some very challenging holes make it very interesting.
Well Worth the Drive
Even though it a quite a haul to get to Wolf Hollow, it is almost always worth it.
Wolf Hollow has some of the most challenging greens around as well as a really fun layout. Personally, I enjoy courses that aren't too driver heavy off the tee and this one is one that fits that description. There are lots of elevation changes, too, so that adds to the challenge factor of the course.
If it wasn't so far away, I would definitely make it out much more often, as this course is above average value-wise for sure.
very beautiful and challenging course and friendly staff
we enjoyed playing this course it has great senery and big elevation changes. we played from forward tees and enjoyed the course. the back tees looked very challenging.this course was agreat value for the money.
Fun
This was a fun and challenging course. The greens on some holes were easy others tough. Had to use different clubs on different holes from the tees even though they were the same par. Staff helpful and friendly. Course in excellent condition
Great variety on holes
Nice course. Even with "cart path only" conditions, walking across the fairways was not exhausting.
