Fun course with challenges
Great time and young staff was ultra friendly and accommodating. Course was in good shape for the middle of December.
Great course
I like this course very much. The pace of play was a little disappointing with slow player not letting faster players play through them. Overall, nice course and a good layout.
Limited sight and hard ground
Course is not difficult, but many holes are over a hill, which makes club selection a challenge. They have a very nice book in the cart that generally helps you understand what challenges lie over the hill or around the dogleg.
The tee boxes were in bad shape, most of the greens were hard, and the fairways were hard. Based on the sloping fairways and greens, it was tough to keep your ball in play.
Wonderful Day
They truly work hard at keeping this course in shape and it shows. It will stack-up to many of the top rated courses in the STL Metro area. Challenging layout and great green fees make this a pleasure to play!
Enjoyable
What a great course. All the challenge you need with the uphill, downhills, and slanted fairways. Booked through Golfnow, no problems and fantastic value.
Wolf Hollow is a great course, especially for the money. It's in good shape considering the heat we've had recently. The lay out is challenging, this isn't a duffers course if your going to score you will have to play well. Staff does a great job. I'd recommend this course to any one.
Great course, great value
Wolf Hollow is the course I play most often, though I've been playing pretty infrequently for the last couple years, there was a time I'd play this course 3 - 4 times a month. I find their twilight rates are an exceptional value, but do play at full rate occasionally and feel it is worth it. Generally, the course is very well maintained, and holes a varied enough to provide interesting play. This course may be on the easier side for those that play frequently, but it will still be a fun round. I highly recommend giving this course a shot if you haven't played it.
Play this course a lot
I've been playing this course for 10 years and I never leave disappointed. It's always a great value play and the course is never in bad condition. Greens were slower than normal following a recent aeration, but they weren't bumpy or anything. I love playing here!
Great course!
Course layout is challenging with a few blind shots and water in play on a number of holes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Course was a little dry.
Had a great time and I will be back.
Fun to play
This course allowed me to use every club in my bag, which is something I really enjoy. Very hilly, but I felt that I was rewarded for a good shot rather than penalized. The greens were very difficult due to the extreme slopes, forcing me to 3 putt a bunch. Course condition was very good and I say the greens were excellent for this time of year. Only knock I have on this course is because of the amount of blind shots, pace of play can be a problem.
Wolf Hollow
It was February so we didn't expect much as far as the course condition and that was how it was. The only thing I would recommend the course do was have a martial out there when there are 25 guys playing their own tournament on the course. There were many open holes from group to group and we were behind the last group unfortunately and couldn't go through. We waited on every hole after #3 and had 2 to 3 groups on boxes behind us. When the course knows a tournament is going on, please hire a marshal to keep the pace of play reasonable. We had not played the course in 10 years and it was kind of nostalgic coming back. I am sure it will be another 10 years or more before coming back.
Great Course
This was my first time playing Wolf Hollow and I really enjoyed it. The layout of the course is really nice, it's spread out, no houses in the course, scenic, hilly and challenging. The course was in really good shape, the tee boxes, fairways and greens were excellent, the only thing that needed work was the rough. It's a bit of a drive from St. Louis, but it's worth, especially for the price. I'll definitely hit this course up more often.
