Renditions Golf Course
About
Renditions Golf Course is a unique layout that features replicas of holes from U.S. Open or PGA Championship venues. Given each hole is modeled after holes from around the world, the course offers plenty of variety ranging from parkland to links. Holes six through nine are replicas of Augusta National's famous Amen Corner. Like their inspiration, Renditions' versions are a formidable test. The golf course offers a round unlike any other. Nowhere else would you be able to get a taste of golf's most well known courses all in one place. After several hundred trees were added to the landscape, which was formerly the site of a sand mining operation, it was completely transformed into the perfect setting for golf, enhanced even further by the Patuxent River that flows nearby.

60s in February
A Great course in great condition in February. Worth the rate. Pace of Play was perfect. couldn't have asked for anything more.
Renditions
Perfect weather day. Folks in the shop and the support staff were very friendly. Was paired with two super nice guys. The fourth was a no show or very late. The course was in OK shape for this time of year. Some of the details need attention. The greens had some speed, but were very erratic in their condition. The pace of play was at times slow due to a twosome that was playing multiple balls on many of the shots. We waited at times on tees. Overall for mid February, I'd say it was a success. I just wish those that book times would show up. It's difficult for the staff to try and get everyone in play and keep things on pace when people are late.
Excellent Replica Course
I got a great price on Golfnow and decided to play this course for the first time. The course was in excellent condition for mid Jan. Amen corner was a great replica and also Sawgrass #17 was great to play. The staff was excellent and the clubhouse was even better. I will play this course over and over..
Will not Return
After years of hearing about the course finally made a tee time. Price was high, but was not concerned if the conditions were good. Sad to report the conditions were very poor. Greens were slow and bumpy and missing grass in many places. Long grass sprouting in many areas around greens and tee boxes. Just a complete disappointment in condition and pace of play which was very slow on a non- crowded day. Save your time and Money. Will not Return.
Great features
Course was in decent condition for this time of the year. Great layouts for every hole and will challenge your shot ability. Pro shop employees were very professional and friendly. I would like to come back again.
Great Layout, Conditions Lacking Off Fairway
I have wanted to play this course ever since I moved to the area in May because of the layout for obvious reasons. Each hole is modeled after a famous hole on another course that is very well known, for example holes 6-8 are amen corner from Augusta National and hole 13 is hole 17 at TPC Sawgrass. This made the time very enjoyable since the course varies so much. Pretty much no hole was like any other holes on the course, except for amen corner of course. This course is in great shape if you keep it on the fairway and greens but no average golfer is going to do that. The rough needed quite a bit of help, it was bare at times or even just dirt (such as the right rough on hole 9). Bunkers were ok, the last 3 holes had the best bunkers and I am told they have new sand which is why. The only bunker I had a real issue with was the sand in the church pews bunker consisted of about 80% sand and 20% rock, which you really don't want to be hitting your club out of. The greens were good, the most I had at fault with the greens was that there were a lot of ball marks from shots. The fairways were fairly good, sometimes there would be quite a bit of divots but nothing awful or unreasonable. I payed $33 for a hot deal which I would say was totally worth it however, They ask $80 in season I believe which is way to much for what you are getting in my opinion. If you can get a dead for $50 or less I would say jump all over it but if it is more than that I would say go and play somewhere where the conditions are a bit nicer.
Pretty Good Replicas
Got a great price on GN. Moved well on front 9, but slowed by about 12. Course is in good shape not great. Very good value
great course
Very good concept of playing holes from around the world. Worth the price paid. Can now say I hit the green at Sawgrass #17.
Ugh
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE condition. The groundskeepers should be ashamed of themselves. Tee boxes were beat up. Greens were bald in areas and burned out and even had crabgrass in some places. Fairways were chewed up. It's a GREAT layout but the condition was atrocious.
The course was in bad shape
The tee boxes, fairways, and greens were all in bad shape and in need of repair. I had been wanting to go play Renditions for years, but the price kept me away. When I saw $40 on golfnow.com, I jumped on it. I was very excited about playing here, but I was so disappointed when I saw how bad the condition of the course was. I won't be playing here again, even for $30.
Heard Great Things... Let Down Big Time
The course conditions were so terrible. Divots everywhere on the greens, tee boxes were pretty much all sand, greens had massive "dead" spots, fairways were far from fair. Cool layout. They have gps in the carts, which I think is more annoying than good. In the area there are far better courses. If the conditions improved then the course would improve dramatically. I wasn't happy I spent over $50 for a round here.
Renditions still has work to do!
Played on a Sunday afternoon to entertain clients!
Pace of play was pretty good as we had a mid-late afternoon tee time on a hot, sunny day - most folks played earlier in the day. Anyways, the greens rolled nice but course had a several rough patches; tee boxes were not in good shape and edges of greens looked burnt. Clubhouse/bar facilities very nice!
Overall - a bit over-priced in my book even with an online deal!
Renditions of What?
This was my second or third time playing this course in several years. I have never seen the course in such a bad shape. From the T-box , Fairways, Bunkers, and the greens everything was horrible. T-boxes are a desert, divots in the fairway all over the place. No one seems to repair them anyway, grass overgrown with weeds. The fairways have not been treated for a while. Sand traps/bunkers need new sand, greens are pock-marked and the balls were hopping all over.... My T-time was booked for 2:20 p.m., arrived at 1:47 p.m only to be told that my T-time was at 1:40 p.m.. I had to skip one hole to catch-up with my supposedly team. I later learned that my T-time was moved forward because there was a large group booked the rest of the afternoon. A courtesy call or e-mail would have been helpful. I'm scheduled to play this course for a tournament in a couple of weeks. I will definitely cancel those plans as this will not be worth my time and money.
Terrible condition, horrendous pace
Was excited to play this course as the concept seemed pretty cool. I instantly regretted making the hour plus drive as soon as i saw the first fairway. With the exception of 4-5 holes every fairway was littered with divots, bare spots, and crabgrass. The greens were just as bad. They still have not recovered from being aerated and had bare and dead spots just like the fairways. The holes had not been changed out in what could have been anywhere from a couple days to a week+. On top of the awful course conditions it took us almost five hours to play when I can usually get through a round in 3-3.5 hrs. The on cart gps was not working properly but fortunately I had ample time between shots to figure out the distance myself. Clubhouse was nice though, probably should have put some of that money into the actual maintenance of the course.
Absolutely amazing experience
I was in DC on vacation and, after doing some research online about the best courses to play in the area, decided to go here. Was definitely worth the drive, it was one of the most enjoyable round of golds I've had in quite some time! Great concept, gives you an opportunity to play famous holes from all over the world on one course! Very friendly, helpful, and professional staff, and the course was in great shape(keep it on the fairway, it can be tough to even find your ball in the rough). The only one "negative" thing I would have to say is the driving range: I personally hate hitting off matts and that was the case(at least while I was there). Other than that I would definitely recommend this course to anyway in the DC area!
Super Layout, Great Staff, Carts w GPS
If you can catch Renditions for below $50 on Golf Now it's a worthwhile play. The end of the summer the greens show the beating they've taken. The layout is awesome, the staff is outgoing and hospitable. Carts have GPS, great amenity. Overall good value play on Golf Now rates in the afternoon.
5 Star Service
This course is obviously super fun to play. You get the opportunity to imagine yourself teeing it up next to your favorite tour pro, on Amen Corner. However, the course/course conditions are not what brings me back to this course, it's the service. From the time you put your bag at the bag drop, til the time you put them back in your car, the service is amazing. They give me the feeling of being at a top dollar private club every time I visit. I will be back as often as possible! Thank You Renditions for showing a new golfer the standard for which I hold every course I visit to. Unfortunately, no other course in this area has measured up.
Fun playing experience
The collection of famous golf holes is a fun idea, and I appreciate the signs with information and the golf carts that provide a 'fly over' of each hole with narration. The course wasn't in the best of shape when I played there, and I've heard that the best time to play is early spring before the grass gets too crispy in places. I'm not sure what exactly warrants the steep greens fee for this location.
