Great Layout
Course was dry and carts were only allowed in the fairways via gates. No issue if you hit your ball there - lol. Was a practice round prior to a 2 day tournament. Greens were firm and slow, needed to be cut. Pin placements were good. Tee boxes in good shape. Hope they cut and roll the greens prior to our tournament.
Great course
I had a great time at the course. It was a really course to hit and it being close to my house I will be back.
Why Shoal Creek is on my top 10.
Let’s be honest, Shoal Creek is a muni course. But it acts like an very good semi private course.The staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful. There could always be more food options at the grill but lets face it, I’m really there for the golf. And there is where Shoal Creek really shines. The course isn’t easy but it is fair! And it is very well maintained. Carts are clean(I prefer electric but not a deal breaker) and the GPS is very helpful. The Bluetooth is also a plus. The cost for a round is appropriate and if you do some digging you can find some great discounts. So there you have it, Staff, golf, equipment, and cost all add up to a fun day for everyone.
Love this course but..........
As a player that plays twice a week usually one here I was very disappointed by having to pair up with a random stranger in a cart. Turns out they were extremely friendly but never heard of it and have been golfing all over the country. Claimed there is a cart shortage. The group behind us didn't have to adhere to the rules of said shortage. No water to drink on the back 9. Lastly when we finished up and returned the cart 17 carts were all ready to roll for players. Very frustrating but will play there again for it really is a beautiful place to play.
A top KC course
Great course variance from tight to wide fairways, advise staying out of the deep 3-4 inch rough here, and ball positioning on greens a must. Considering this course highly for our club membership.

One of the best courses in the KC area!! Immaculate course for $70....pay it all day. Save $20 bucks all over town, but none are even in the same ballpark as Shaol Creek. Staff, os great. Greens had too much sand this weekend, but still 10 out of 10 review. Don't play anywhere else!!
Great day if golf
Every day that I play this course is a great day if golf. Just an overall superb course from the clubhouse, practice green, driving range, gps carts with display of course information and Bluetooth-equipped speakers to the final green!
Love this course, great layout and always in good condition. Play here and enjoy the surroundings of the course..
A bunch of opportunities
One of my favorite courses in Kansas City. For early June on a Thursday the course was in great shape! Only hit the sand once but could tell some more attention could be thrown there. Overall a good time shooting far above my average and getting frustrated
