Coyote Springs Golf Club

About
Coyote Springs Golf Club (previously known as Coyote Springs - The Chase Course) is located less than one hour from the Las Vegas Strip and just 45 minutes from Mesquite, Nevada. This Jack Nicklaus Signature Course is highly regarded as a must-play by Vegas golf aficionados. The course's stunning setting is sometimes referred to as "nature's cradle" since it's situated in a verdant valley completely surrounded by majestic mountains and peaks. While the scenery may be beautiful, don't let it distract you from the golf course's many challenges. Water and bunkers await you at almost every turn. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 second, whose bunkers at the second landing area will force you to think carefully about how to approach the Augusta-like green. In addition to the golf course, Coyote Springs offers one of the largest practice facilities in the country. This 19-acre facility includes 13 target greens and a short game area for pitching, chipping, and bunker practice.

Great course in middle of nowhere
Great course about an hour north of Las Vegas. Was supposed to be part of a planned community which never developed. Nicklaus course, great design and variety. Not an easy course (even from the white tees). A bit of a strange configuration - the 1st and 10th tees are far from the clubhouse. It would be impossible to walk. Great range, nice people working. Modest proshop and there is a bar and grill (my sandwich was good). Many visits from the beverage carts.
Course in perfect Condition.
Great course all around. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Tea boxes and fairways were in great shape. Greens were in good shape as well, very fast and hard to read. Narrow course and fairway bunkers make it a fun challenge. About one hour away from the strip. Will definitely go back and take a friend
The Layout & Course Conditions are Birdies
We arrived early and the starter sent us off early on the front nine. That doesn't happen at many courses. The pace of play for a good threesome on the first 16 holes was about 3 hours. Then we caught up with a junior golf tournament that started on the back nine when we had started the front. 17, 18 & 19 took 20 minutes per hole with waiting.
The course layout is excellent. The course fairways and greens held up well to 96*F with a 5 to 10 mph wind.
The amenities all appear to be temporary, just adequate. With a permanent restaurant and nearby accommodations, this could become a destination resort.
The drive to Mesquite for accomodations is on a narrow winding road through barren desert washes. The drive to Vegas, although on a better highway, is also a stretch.
Oasis of EPICNESS
Without question one of the best in the west!!! Loved everything about it- even the drive in is special!!! Trust your gps- there really is a WORLD class golf course in the middle of that abyss...you'll thank me forever after you experience the Springs!!! Viva Coyote & all the staff- everything about the course and facility is awesome!!! JP from Pinehurst NC
Nice green course
Nice course layout and conditions. 2 issues: would be nice if there was gps on the cart, and the bathroom on the front 9 was locked.
Needs a clown's mouth
This is now my third time playing this course and probably will be my last. Yes, I agree with other posters. The course is pretty. Every hole is unique. But I developed my distaste for the course due to the design. First, there are 100 sand traps on the course. And they are all severely penile. Traps located in middle of a fairway punishes good tee shots. Second, the greens are beyond ridiculous. There isn't a flat spot on any of the greens. Few of tholes had the flag (all red) placed five paces from the front with a front trap and green slopping away. And they wonder why the players are taking long time to play the holes??? If you beat this course, you should join the putt putt tournament. FYI, there really isn't a 19th hole. There are two trailers that makes up as a clubhouse.
One of the best courses around LV
Love to play there. One hour drive from Vegas is worth it.
This time greens were not in the best conditions but fairways like always excellent. And pace of play was too slow for us which was not good for the fun factor. So we did not play the last two holes (which are really nice too play normally) to get back to town. Any how - we will come back next time. Many thanks to the friendly stuff.
Love this course
Way out in the desert. No housings around. Best practice facilities with huge driving range, chipping and bunker facilities. Jack Niklaus did a good job designing this course. Unfortunately the greens were just newly sanded and arrificated when we played there this time. No chance for a good score. And only American beer at the course ( no Heineken). But anyhow like always great fun. Love this course. One of the best in the Vegas area.
It has fun layout
The golf course green were punched but still rolling good. It would fun to play if is not dam so windy that day.
Top notch course.
Play there Monday 3-28 n so good play again Friday 4-1. The green one of the best. Lots of undulations and fast.
Amazing layout but
The layout of the courses are amazing!
But the staff was unfriendly and slow
Very disappointed but would come back for the layout of the courses. Best of Golden Bear!
Awesome green
In the middle of nowhere. Tough course and speedy greens. About 10 to 11. Hugh’s practice area. Highly recommended.
Great course, super fast and undulating greens
Everything was great except that the greens were so fast, that if you were above the hole you have zero chance of getting it close, other than making it. I like fast greens, but with all the undulation they should be more cognizant of pin placement. Some were ridiculous. Its a real test of your short game.
