Royal Kunia Country Club boasts a reputation as one of the best and most scenic golf courses on Oahu. The course is perched high above the Ewa plain, offering panoramic views of the entire South Shore, stretching from Pearl Harbor to the downtown skyline of Honolulu to the famed Diamond Head. The layout rolls across a gently undulating landscape, offering a diverse layout of short par 4s and demanding par 5s. Water comes into play on a few holes and there are strategically placed bunkers throughout. Its coastal location guarantees that wind will be a factor in determining your outcome. The signature hole comes exactly midway through the course. Royal Kunia Country Club's par-5 ninth requires three strong shots that avoid the numerous troubles from tee to green including bunkers, trees, water, and of course, wind.

A Fine Course. Nicely laid out and well maintained. Beautiful vistas. Will definitely play here again.
carts
very very poor and old. needs to be updated in the worst way but did run ok.
Slowest round ever
Was not uncommon to have three foursomes at one tee box when it takes you half an hour to play a par three from the time you line up until you complete the hole I think they need a Marshall on the course to keep the pace of play up!
Well maintained course carts are a little suspect but like that they are gas powered
Great views, slow play.
The course was pretty and well taken care of. The views over Pearl Harbor looking back at Waikiki were wonderful. The pace was terrible, and no Marshall trying to move it along. The amenities like restaurant and clubhouse fair, could be a lot better to match the course. Overall I’d recommend it. The sand was good, grass manicured, with great views.
Very slowly playing
2:30pm not possible to end the round. To many players without knowing about etiquette..
God Course, Bad Carts
The course is pretty nice and in fairly good condition. A real good value by Hawaii standards for what I paid ($54). Good views also. But my cart was grungy with rust and the plexiglass was dirty.
Spectacular views not so spectacular greens
Spectacular views of Diamond head, Pearl Harbor and Honolulu from this elevated course.
Fairways and Tees in good shape. Greens have numerous 4-8 inch brown spots and are cut a bit long to mean slow putting conditions
Fairways are very wide and rough is short
Staff that I met was friendly and helpful.
Bring your camera for some outstanding vista shots
After round facilities are limited. Restrooms on course nice.
Slow pace couldn't finish
Teed off at 2pm played only 12 holes waited on every shot. Had to have cart in by 5 :30 if it hadn't been a discounted round i would have given a much worse review.
Poor execution
Made a late afternoon tee time. No warning that the course cuts you off at 545pm. Won’t be going back any time soon.
To make matters worse, the only ran single tees on a holiday. Thus all the family foursome really slowed pace of play to a crawl.
