Fun course

Fun course up on the hillside between Kona and Waikoloa. The course is short but cut out of the mountain side brush so requires accuracy. Rather unforgiving. Greens were tricky for me. I had a hard time reading them. Very slow but also receptive.

The staff - starter and pro shop staff person- were just awesome! So accommodating.

It’s not a fancy place, but I had a great outing!

I love this course. I play it every time I come to Hawaii. The course was not maintained this year as well as it has been and the golf carts really need to be replaced..

A must play at Big island

Very nice course design. 17 is island green like Sawgrass and PGA west. It plays 206yds from the black tee. 18 is a great finishing hole as well. Many risk reward holes make you think how to play it. The course is recently punched so green is very slow.

This course has beautiful views

Makani is up in the hills just a half hour from Kona. The course is laid out nicely and fun to play. The only thing unexpected was the rain coming down heavy for a few holes. The greens were also pretty slow as they had been aerated recently.
