Course renovation: Misty Creek Country Club underwent a comprehensive golf course renovation, which included re-grassing all areas, rebuilding bunkers, upgrading the driving range, and installing a new irrigation system. The course was temporarily closed for these improvements and reopened to the public in November 2025.

Wonderful golf course. Course was in very good condition. Beautiful surroundings - lots of wildlife in the area. Only negative was the pace of play. Waited on every shot.

Bad experience with starters

It was very obvious from the start that I was going to be treated as a second class citizen because I booked through golfnow. I was a single and although I had a 2pm tee time, the starter sent out 3 groups of 3 before he let me go with an elderly couple, which was no fun.

Decent course, but a little pricey for what it is

Payed about $120. Was OK course. Beautiful course. Hardly any houses visible. It is a wildlife preserve. Tees were in poor shape. Covered in seed/sand made it tough to get traction. Greens very good. Pace of play was very slow. 5 hrs. Bar was nice, but kitchen was closed when we got in (3 pm?). Overall, value was just ok.

One of the Best in SRQ

We played in 3.25 hours in season. Not bad, huh? Lightning fast greens that track pure, fairways like carpet, reasonable rough and traps. Only negative is the tees. We played the whites and they were pretty rough. Other than that, a very nice and challenging course.

Pace of play a problem

I rated friendliness as excellent.

But

We finally saw a ranger on the back, our 3 some was behind a very slow 4 some.

The ranger told us he talked to the group ahead, but it didn’t help.

Everything else was very good.

Nice people

Lot of course knowledge helps where water comes into play greens very tricky down hill putts good luck Greens and tees in excellent shape some fairways sparse due to overhanging trees # 15 par 5 I have no idea how you are supposed to play it would go back but you need a range finder for sure for some reason Ranger got after us and group behind us to speed up or we would have to skip a hole we played front nine in under 2 hours
