Deer Run at Sun 'n Lake Golf & Country Club

Course a little overrated. It is a solid 4 star course. For a resort course it is close to 5 star but lacks qualities to be a challenging course for better players.

The front nine was probably the slowest I remember playing. We had the second tee time of the day. A foursome started in front of us and we waited literally 10 min from the moment we got to our ball on every shot. They never once acknowledged our presence. On a par 3 we pulled up and they hadn’t even teeed off yet. Never even looked at us and kept going. There is no doubt they would have waited 5 min and we would have been long gone. Fortunately they only played 9 holes.

Other than that we love playing there and would return a lot. One of the best courses in the area.

JJ in the Pro Shop was super friendly and accommodating, and met us at the driving range to show us how to get to the first tee. He definitely went above and beyond. The layout of the course is enjoyable for long and not so long hitters. The course conditions are pretty good for summer time in Central Florida. The pace of play was just right, and the local resident players were friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. We will be back. 5 Star Rating

Played Sun n Lake Turtle Run yesterday for the first time this winter. Hadn't played earlier because the price seemed a bit high, and Hot Deals were never offered. The course is in GREAT shape - ranking up there with the high-$ courses we've played this year like Celebration & Shingle Creek. The greens are perfect. The layout is interesting, and there are tees for anyone's liking. Staff couldn't be more friendly and accommodating. The Sun n Lakes pro shop is nice and offers a great selection of all things golf. There are super practice facilities, and the golf carts are nice AND also clean. It's a bit of a drive south to Sebring, but no dealing with the Orlando area traffic. Sun n Lakes is worth every penny and DEFINITELY worth the price even without a Hot Deal.

Pace of play 3.5-4.5hrs. Excellent. Staff interaction after initial visit was vastly improved. Friendly and ensuring we were satisfied with our experience. Course fairways on Turtle Run excellent. Greens on Deer Run excellent.

Person supervising went above and beyond to accommodate us as visiting non-members to enjoy the golf course.

Much like Turtle Run (I like it more) Deer run was in great shape compared to many of the courses I have played in the area - probably the best - hence it can be more expensive at peak times.

The layout is more impressive once you play it than it would suggest by looking at Google maps. Although it simply circles around the community, one hole linked to the next, each hole does have some interesting features,, elevated greens, tree placement, etc. that frame holes well.

I'd play it again for sure for this price!

I teed off at 4:06, played 5 holes in 35 minutes, then last 4 in 1 hour after I ran into a slow group, then completed the back 9 in one hour as the sun set!

Both courses at sun n lakes are the best courses in Sebring. Unfortunately, are also the most expensive. If you want to treat yourself, then this is where you need to go.

Best course I have played in Florida this year that is under $100.

Recommend Deer Run to any golfer!

Course always fun to play. Very interesting hole layout

Greens and fairways were in great shape. One of the nicest courses we have played in the Sebring area.

We got this tee time from a Golfnow and enjoyed the round. The course was not too busy and we enjoyed pace of play. Fairways were in good condition. The rough had just been aerated soit was difficult to get a good shot from there. The greens were in excellent condition but much faster than any other course I in Sebring. Had to putt softly.
