Deer Run at Sun 'n Lake Golf & Country Club

played Turtle Run, course was excellent, clubhouse staff was very friendly and helpful! brand new carts. very nice course to play.

Greens were in good shape and fast. Knowing where the water’s at makes a big difference so make sure to pay attention to the map on the card when trying to cut a corner. Enjoyable and a good deal.

a group of 16 were celebrating a birthday and played extremely slow there to party we left after 14 holes

Had not played Deer Run in over two years. Playing Turtle during that time. The greens have been changed since we last played Deer. They were like the felt on a pool table, and a very dark green. Extremely fast, but they rolled true. The course, as usual, was in great shape. The weather was mild and we basically had the course to ourselves most of the round. Too bad we both played terrible. Still...we enjoyed our round. Highly recommend playing here. We travel about 80 miles to play these courses, so either we're crazy, or really love them; I guess a lot of both.

Played this course for the 4th time. 2times on each 18. It has always been in great shape and the pro shop people are very friendly. Informative. Last time we were a twosome and played in 2hrs. 30 mins. Cant wait to play it again

Played after heavy rains the previous night, but course was in great shape with only a few cordoned off spots. Greens rolled true, fairways were great and the afternoon was pleasant. Couldn't ask for more. Highly recommend Turtle Run, which we played, and the other course, Deer Run.

Awesome corse ! Lot of walking for senior players.

Course a little overrated. It is a solid 4 star course. For a resort course it is close to 5 star but lacks qualities to be a challenging course for better players.

The front nine was probably the slowest I remember playing. We had the second tee time of the day. A foursome started in front of us and we waited literally 10 min from the moment we got to our ball on every shot. They never once acknowledged our presence. On a par 3 we pulled up and they hadn’t even teeed off yet. Never even looked at us and kept going. There is no doubt they would have waited 5 min and we would have been long gone. Fortunately they only played 9 holes.

Other than that we love playing there and would return a lot. One of the best courses in the area.

JJ in the Pro Shop was super friendly and accommodating, and met us at the driving range to show us how to get to the first tee. He definitely went above and beyond. The layout of the course is enjoyable for long and not so long hitters. The course conditions are pretty good for summer time in Central Florida. The pace of play was just right, and the local resident players were friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. We will be back. 5 Star Rating
