Greens were nice until this last visit. Stopped watering and they look terrible again.
The tee boxes and fairways had little to no grass on every hole. Surprisingly the greens looked brand new so not sure why the other 99% of the course was in such poor condition. The gentleman that checked me in at the clubhouse hardly said 2 words to me.
Shut it Down
A horrible golf course that would be great as a dog park. The course is an absolute joke. We were charged almost 100 dollars total for 2 people to play 18 with a cart. This course shouldn't cost 10 dollars let alone 100. Tee boxes in horrendous shape, nothing fair about the fairways, and rough wouldn't begin to describe the rough. How this course stays in business I will never understand. As a first time visitor to the state, I will NEVER play Oak Hills again, and nobody else should either.
May be worst course in Florida.
Not even going to waste my time writing a lengthy review. They basically have just mowed the lawn for the last 30 years. The layout isn’t bad and it’s cheaper than most courses, but the lower price isn’t worth it. Most of the course is sand and it’s like hitting out of a bunker even if you’re in the fairway. Could be a great course, but they invest nothing in keeping the grounds.
Golf Course Review
Greens were good but tee boxes and fairways were in terrible shape. The layout is good but it was like playing in a badly watered field. Tee boxes were very uneven and pitted
Horrific
The entire course is a bunker if not & you’re lucky enough to land on grass it’s not golf course grass. I think the grass was recycled from a dog park. The greens around the tee are the only thing I think they do take care of though not shabby seen worse. I’d say if you needed help playing in rough & bunker this course is THE BEST.
Good Greens
I have been golfing at this course for 2 years now and today was the best I have ever seen the greens. The greens were great
Rough
On a scale of 5, I would rate the tees and fairways 1.5-2 and the greens a 4.
Don’t.
This was the worst course I’ve ever seen. Once you turned into the place, the road looked like it had been carpet bombed. The staff acted as if we were inconveniencing them for being there. The carts were trash, one had a flat tire and the other didn’t have brakes. The rental clubs sets were from garbage, my buddy got a set that included three 9 irons, three 6 irons (one of which was a lefty) and no putter. Course conditions were terrible, except for the greens. Not sure how they managed that one. We paid for 18 and went home after 9. I wouldn’t wish this course on my worst enemy. Find another place unless you are hard up and need a place to learn the game and not worry about people behind you - we saw one other poor soul out there just trying to avoid his wife.
There’s sand everywhere and the fairways are horrible everytime you ball lands after hitting a tee shot it lands and makes a huge blast of sand and never rolls weeds and everywhere and the golf carts break down
No food. No drinks. Front 9 is pretty rough. Felt like I was playing on Mars in the fairways. Greens were actually good. Back 9 was 7/10. Only thing that was rough was the tee boxes . Big improvement from the front 9. The lack of food/beer was a disappointment but for 25$ for 18 I was not mad. I’d come back. The layout and holes were fun.
Great Greens, great price
I’m new to the Spring Hill area. Moved from Lutz, FL and used to play at Heritage Harbor all the time. We were looking for a similar course to Heritage Harbor… affordable price, decent course but not anything fancy. I think we’ve found that course. This course has beautiful greens…. Yes they are slow but all of them were beautifully green with no bald batches. Fairways are definitely worse than HH but hopefully they will grow in during this upcoming rainy season. Tee boxes were also terrible but you’re hitting off of a tee most of the time so that didn’t really matter. We will definitely go again and look forward to greener fairways in the future.
