Unfriendly Staff
I have COPD. I asked the man behind the desk if they had handicap flags. His response was NO stay 30 feet from the tees and greens. While playing on the course I ran into a guy with a handicap flag and asked him if that was his flag and he said no it came from the office. He said they have lots of them and he gave me his as he was quitting. I don't know if they had lots of them or not, but the man at the desk could have said they are all out instead of NO. The greens on the front were nice. We only played 3 holes on the back because of super slow play from a 4 some that had cut in front of the group in front of us. Those 3 greens were bad. I was not expecting a country club but I thought the course was in pretty bad shape. I used to play here years ago but I won't be back.
Horrible
1 star is not Low enough for this disaster of a so called golf course. Unfortunately for me it's less than a mile from where I live.
A. Drive way and parking lot is horrible. If you decide to play this course drive a truck to get to club house.
B. No grass on all fairways, tee boxes are dirt, greens on back 9 are all packed down dirt. (I noticed grass seed on the tee boxes all trampled on. Move tees and water!)
Suggestion: close for 6 months, seed, fertilize and water. OR leave as is and sell property to a farmer.
Horrible!
A Neglected Course
A once beautiful course that I now live on has little to no grass on both the fairways and just off the greens. There is no chance to get up and down on dirt shots. A great layout that needs to be completely reseeded or your just playing on 18 holes of a dirt driving range.
Poor, very poor
This course, other than the greens that were in terrific shape, would be a poor excuse for a cow pasture. The gentleman who ran the pro shop had never heard of customer service! He saw no problem with a group of five playing. He suggested that they might let us play thru. Interesting concept. There was no way he would let us tee off even though there was no one one number one tee box.
This is absolutely the worst course we have ever played in our thirty years of playing golf
Would never do play this course again
Time to put some money into the course
They either have to stop putting some money back into the course or people just stop going all together it's too bad it's a great designed Golf Course
Work in progress
Course cleaned up a lot in last 3 weeks. Trees that were down are gone Greens good and run true. Fairways need more work. Grass sparse Sand traps nice... if a trap can be nice! Tees a little rough. Love lay out and will probably play again
Not muxc change
New owners ! Same poor fairways! -Greens seem some vetter- still some bare spots, swapped front tees to back tees, no Ranger carts still drive up to green. good place to just it the ball for aa few bucks. Needs infusion of lots of bucks to turn it into a GO TO course.
Oak Hills Golf Course
Greens are in very good condition. Would recommend.
Would not pay more than $10
Course isn't bad, but is in horrible shape. It was almost better to play the ball from the rough then the fairway. 18th green was 1/4 sand. Many spots in the fairway had sand where there should have been grass.
Cant go wrong for $14
Would have loved to played this course in its glory days, the layout is nice, moderate difficulty, Been let go, will take some work to restore this course, only one person at club house and saw no workers, Would love to know there plans for this course, i wouldn't pay anymore for playing here at this time. Hoping to se some improvement next time i play here.
