nice layout
greens in terrible shape and it took whoever booking my tee time a good ten minutes to notice me and finally come over guess putting a candy bar in the rack was more important then tending to a customer
Downhill in a hurry
If it wasnt for the $10 hot tee time, this would have been a disaster. The first 4 or 5 greens cant barely even be called that, more mud and leaves than grass. Greens over the remainder improve, more so on the back 9. Fairways/tee boxes in decent shape. Pace of play was great seeing as no one was on the course (3 hour 15 minute round for 3some). Worth the money for $10 and thats about it.
Would stay away until conditions improve.
Only positive was staff was friendly.
Nice Layout
Course layout is very playable for all levels of golfers. Three or four of the greens are in poor shape. Good value for what we paid.
good layout
played this course back in dec. 2014. it was bad then, but new owners took over, so we tried it to day 1/13/2016. it is not any better now than it was then. i would not play there again even if it was free. they want 25.00 dollars to play it is not worth 5.00 dollars.
Don't be fooled by the pix online
Very disappointed not my kind of course.
Not much grass on the greens. Not putting much into the course just raking in the bucks. Carts squeal when stepping on the gas. Played there 4 yrs ago, & heard a rumor that it was in better shape ...... They lied I/we will not go back.
Oak Hills
played again and still in really bad shape. Too many courses in area in better shape for same or less money. 25 dollars on this course is not a good deal
Heard the course was in better shape
Not my course conditions . Greens were almost without grass, one green was partial sand where they put the pin . Some holes had to be tough for mgmt to find a decent area to put the pin. Very slow play!
They closed the Dunes, but it was indeed in better shape than this course!
Sorry for the not so good review but that is the way it was.
Poor conditions
Course was in very POOR condition, all greens were in terrible shape. Overpriced even at $30, won't play again.
Great layout, needs work
The layout of this course is great with several doglegs and ample width of the fairways with no poorly designed holes, Greens are small, elevated and need work, but for the price it is worth the drive.
great back nine
Gene who works the pro shop was helpful to e as he replaced my club handle grip .super job and thanks.
Raymond Floyd would nbe proud.
This course has changed dramatically. Played here earlier this year and thought I may not return. However the fairways and greens are in great shape for this venue. Booked a tee time on Golf Now "Hot Tee Times" the price couldn't be beat. This layout is challenging for most golfers. Maybe this place should remain a hidden gem but the staff desires the credit for the hard work.
Worst I have ever seen this course
Very poor condition, they should have paid us to Play there.
Needs serious help
I rarely write negative reviews however I must this time.
While I loved the layout with the elevation changes the condition of the entire course was horrible, the fairways looked like roughs, the greens were sandy and full of weeds, the tee boxes were the same and the cart path was so full of broken asphalt that it was safer to avoid them all together. On a positive note though, with a lot of money and care this course could become a real gem however if it fails all the home owners along the course are in for a rat and snake infested waist land.
Course has come a long way with new ownership
Making great strides to get this course back to where it was. New ownership doing a great job with a course that basically needed a complete overhaul. Layout is great! Just a matter of time before it's back to being a must play course.
Rough but a good value
The first green was mud. The second had some bad spots. The rest were fine. With a little time and attention could be a good course. Greens were not challenging, pretty flat. For $15 I got my moneys worth. Looks like they are trying to improve it. At least the tees were mowed and the fairways had fairly good grass.
Poor condition
This course could be an excellent place to play. I liked the lay-out but the course and all around the course was in very poor condition. Pot holes in entrance, on some greens very little grass, (ist freen was all dirt). The fairways were mostly dirt.
I probably won't play here again!
Good place to get the rust off
My wife and I played here just to get our first round in on holidays and this place was good for that wider fairways bigger greens but the couse condition was not that great. My wife enjoyed the tee placements for the ladies as it gave her a chance if she hit a good drive to get there in regulation and she shot her best round ever staff was friendly a good place to get the rust off but I would not play here everyday.
Course has a great tract
With a little work ,it could be a keeper. I 'd play there every week'
for a dollar a hole I'll play
your opinion of this course will depend on what hole you are on. The tee boxes vary, perhaps rate them a 6/10. The fairways might have grass, bare ground or sand. Don't be afraid to move your ball a few feet to find a grass patch. Often you find your ball on sand, keep in mind when you swing that you are in sand on the fairway. Hit it smart or move it to grass. The greens were lacking grass, where there was it was nice. However I don't recall a single green without issues, I was grateful for the ones that had few issues. Nice staff but some water and grass seed will make a solid difference.
