Course Review
Nice course layout but greens very inconsistent and need work. Course needs water badly.
the course has good layout
Played this course several times a few years ago and it was a nice place to play, fairways and greens were very good. But right now both are in very bad shape. It is under new owners, so maybe next year it might get back to being a good course to play.
I think course has a good layout, not water comes into play.
Unfortunately, have played this course a few years ago and it was in very good condition. But right now it is in terrible shape. It is under new ownership,so maybe later on it will get back to what it was
Greens not up to par
I played in the afternoon with a good discount from Golf Now and paid about $15 total. The person at check-in was very nice while I booked on the Golf Now app. The course was wide open for play and I was able to go right out. The fairways weren't too bad but the greens had only a little grass. Although the greens were flat and smooth (and fairly fast), it was not pleasant for me. I would have been more upset if I paid full price.
a big disappointment
Look at the reviews before we determined us to play. Unfortunately we have to say this was the worst track we played on. We have the last ten years has played in over a hundred different courses, overseas and this was absolutely the worst. Two hours car drive and then hit by this court. PITY
Layout was good
Greens and fairways were in bad shape so were tee boxes
Getting much better.
We played here about 6 weeks ago and the course was very rough. Sparse grass on fairways and greens needed a lot of work. All that has changed. Greens are much better and they are still working on them. New watering system is installed fairways are much much better. Enjoyed playing there and looking forward to coming back. Only bring what you need to play. They don't have many golf supplies. Other than that a great day of golf. (Except my score).ha ha.
Great layout
Course is a work in progress and u can see new owners are trying to get it back in shape. Glad we got hot deal price to play it rack rate to high for current conditions
you get what you pay for
to start out it seems this course lost its irrigation system sometime in the last year because you can see where ground was dug up around the course.fairways were bare of grass although it seems they were overseeded but since there was no bermuda on fairways the overseed will take time to germinate.greens also bare many spots with no grass.it seems they are trying to get course back in shape but this might take the winter and spring to accomplish.very sparse conditions in the rough too.stay away until conditions improve
Still needs a little TLC
When this course is in better condition it will be awesome
A bit more overseed would help
You can tell that the course managers are trying to bring this course up to snuff. The layout is great. We really enjoyed it even though there is NO water on the course. They are trying to get the overseed to come in but it isn't cooperating. Fairways are sparse and greens are a little thin in spots. We are definitely going to come back in a few weeks and play this one again.
grat atmosphere
I enjoy going to this course since the new management. The staff are absolutely wonderful and helpful. always with a smile. The course is still abit rough but I can see some improvements since last winter. I look forward to more golf at this course.
di rcon
Needs some work but has a good layout. Rough teeboxes and so-so greens. With some work the course could be very good.
A work in progress
New owners working hard to get course in top condition. Many course deficiencies have been addressed. Course should be in excellent condition by January. Great course layout, challenging but not overly difficult, and a great value.
open with challenging approaches
I have been playing this course on and off for 15 years. It has a good mature layout, lots of trees, no water and sand guarding undulating greens on the small side. Fairways are wide enough to give you a good shot...........but severe hook or slice players will find themselves playing from the pine trees.
The course was just re-opened in August after many years of abuse. It is very playable and fairly priced. Give it a try, but don't expect World Woods.
Has come a long way!
This course had been let go for a few years now but since new ownership took over it has improved dramatically. I see many workers out there all the time working hard to improve the course and it is starting to really pay off. I could only give the course 3 stars right now for course conditions but I believe it will improve to 4 stars by the fall or winter. Course layout is challenging enough and very long if you don't play the proper tees. It has no water hazards unfortunately but lots of elevation changes on back nine and a good value to play here.
Feel good course
I have always considered this course one of the area's better "Feel good" courses. Basically, the fairways are wide open, it is not too long, there is not much sand that comes into play and there are NO water hazards to contend with. So if your tee shot is wandering off mark, or your fairway approach shots aren't quite precise, as long as you can put on reasonably flat greens you should score. That's what a "Feel good" course is all about. The day I played the fairways were is great shape, lots of green. The rough was still a little on the sandy side. All the greens were in nice shape, a little fuzzy and slow, but that just means put a little harder and your ball will stay on line. If you get the chance this course really is fun so go out and try it, you won't be disappointed.
For $10 Not Bad
I played this course due to a super hot price of $10. I recommend the course ONLY at this price. Ownership recently changed. Apparently, prior owners went bankrupt or something. Condition of course was pretty poor. Greens were "acceptable". Fairways were spotty, at best. Only bagged, salty snacks, sodas, and Gatorade. No food license yet. No beer yet. If the new owners put some money into the course, a fair price would be $20 for 18 holes. Very bumpy ride in the cart due to extremely poor cart paths and poor condition of non-fairway grounds. Chiropractor appointment may be necessary when complete.
Still needs work on
I enjoyed my game of golf and would play again if the price was right which it was. Greens need some attention to, however it was clear they were working on this. With the right investment this could be a very good course but at the moment was one of the weaker courses I played while on vacation in Florida. Staff and other golfers were very friendly. Did not use the club house facilities.
getting better each time
I have played this course for years and recently wrote it off because it was in horrible condition. Went back after seeing an ad stating new ownership and was very impressed. Fertilized fairways, greens being repaired, grass being mowed just a lot of activity. Great to see. Not near its potential yet but a vast improvement. Will definitely continue to play there.
