Help
The course need major TLC
Losing golf balls in the fairway.
Not speaking badly of the place
Just speaking the truth
Hope they improve soon.
It can be better than it currently is
Care
Great layout but they need to fertilize the grass cut and maintain better. Has potential if someone actually cared. Entry horrible needs to be paved.
Great for beginners
You can’t beat it for the price. Good place to play at your own pace and get a good feel for your swing without feeling rushed. The rough is a jungle good luck finding your ball if you can’t make the fairway. The greens are in bad shape and divots never get repaired but like a said for beginners and the price can’t be too mad 🤷🏻♂️ they are only missing food and drinks . Also the road of entrance makes this place look abandoned.
Getting better
Been about a month since last playing here. The course has gotten greener but you still won't get perfect lies in the fairways. I did see someone talk about the rough and they were correct. It's tough but it is really the only defense the course has. There are no water hazards on this course. The sand traps have improved, it looks like they are maintaining better. The greens have improved and putt nicely. There are still some issues on them though.
Nice greens at least
The faiways are the same as the rough only cut shorter.
Lack of care
Golf course was in awful condition. Tee boxes, fairways, greens. Everything on this course in need of major attention. Looks like owner just gave up. I’m told it use to be a nice course but no longer!
My first impression was the driveway it was so bad with potholes that people drive in the grass or was grass making a new roadway in. It went straight down hill from there. One & only positive note, golf carts were new & ran well.
Tmc
Needs lots of TLC. But for the money you really can't complain too much. Also the road going in and out of golf course needs major repair. I thought I was going to lose my front end..
Great to teach grandchildren
My 15 yr old grandson had a great time & actually got better as we went along. Love oak hill
Good Course for the Price
I have been playing Oak Hills for over 20 years, and it has changed dramatically in that time span. It used to be the place to play, but it went downhill the last 15 years. Don't expect a perfect lie, the rough is not cut (it is almost like you are playing at the British Open), and the greens are o.k. The staff was very friendly! But they recently made the decision not to sell alcohol or drinks!
For the price for this area, it is a good challenging course. Just tailor your expectations.
Best around
Just relocated here. Played 3 other courses and to my suprise oak hill was in the best condition of them all. All courses around had rough fairways and sketchy greens and oak Hill was in the best condition of them all. Some weeds were around in the fairway and the rough was rough but the greens were true and the course was green unlike many others. I will be going back often
The rain has helped
The weeds are greener. Still fairways with nothing. The pro shop no longer sells any refreshments. They don’t want to bothered with licensing. Looking more and more like going towards closing.
Fun Course
I enjoyed playing Oak Hill as the condition of the course was much improved. We moved along nicely.
A little better
The rain has helped green up the fairways and it appears the ground staff is trying to keep it playable, but it has a long way to go before it gets to be worth over $25, especially in summer. Good place to practice course management or practice round. Back 9 is better condition than the front. Wonder if overseeding the fairways at the beginning of the rainy season would have helped.
rain helps
As I had thought, once the rainy season began here in Florida, it is helping this course. The greens have started to fill in and the fairways are a little bit better. This is a great value for this area.
