Swenson Park Golf Course - The Oak Course

Probably the 7-8th time playing Swenson and the course rarely disappoints. Staff are always friendly and helpful and I was offered to start early as lone golfer, but I usually meet up with other GolfNow randoms who have proven to be courteous and make the experience that much better.

Only distracting note was my apple, which had been placed in the cup holder and while teeing off on number 3, a fox entered and stole my apple, dropping it off on the next tee box. Coincidentally, the same fox followed me later and snuck by the cart again to see if any more food/ fruit was available.

Course was in great condition and after carding a 42 on front 9, I came back to earth with a 52 on the back nine.....

Took a friend for his birthday. Had a blast. Course was well maintained. Narrow fairways and lots of big trees made some holes a bit challenging if you don’t hit perfectly straight, but it also made it a good time! I’d play again here anytime

Great course conditions, they have definitely put some money into the upkeep but they need to invest in some marshalls now. Way to may 1 and 2 man groups. Rate of play is horrible.

They need to mark their fairway with 100 and 200 yard pole markers.

Course plays long, which is a plus. Water elements are dirty. Greens freshly aerated so will be awhile before they are decent. Fairways in good condition. Staff was polite and efficient.

Course in good condition fairways and greens. Clean up the grass clippings because if your ball goes off the fairway, you’re gonna lose it because there’s so many grass clippings everywhere. Would be nice if they had 200 and 100 pole markers on each side of the fairways instead of just 150. Only one garbage can on the whole course on the 18th hole and the bathrooms need a lot of help.

The course apparently allows fivesomes. There were two in front of our threesome and they did not offer for us to play through. We waited on every shot. Not an enjoyable round. No marshal to be found. Will think twice about playing there again.

Played this course last week and again on Tuesday. I have played it over 10 times and when the course is dialed in with maintenance and good weather, there is no better value. Pace is good and it is walkable.

Course is playing great! Greens are rolling good! Tee boxes need some love but overall great shape!
