Shores at North River
course was again in very good condition and very good for game tune up
Short but fun
Course is in pretty good shape and looks like they are making improvements. Nice little confidence builder
Beautiful but windy!!
Course was dry, firm but very windy!! Play was great, one group let me play through and I jump another group on 10 and played that hole after I finished 18.
Round was relaxed and staff was great as usual!!
Excellent customer service!
My son and I had the opportunity to play here on February 22. I had booked via GolfNow and made two 18 hole reservations with cart. We were on vacation so I was just happy to play with my 13 year old. When we checked in, the staff let me know that under 15 usually plays for free. I said it was no big deal to me since I booked for two people and didn't want to book via GolfNow for a single player. Regardless, the staff insisted that the refund me. This was entirely not necessary, but greatly appreciated. In fact, they suggested I come in during the turn for them to do it. The new owner was there at that time and he was incredibly nice. He said it was important that young kids learn golf and was happy to refund the greens fee. If I could give them six stars for customer service, I would.
On to the course, this is a short, par 66 course with no par 5s. It was a perfect place to play for me and my son. He doesn't play much and is learning and this is a very forgiving course. For most, you'll leave your driver in the bag, but it was nice to have a quick, fun round. Plus the golf carts were brand spanking new! I would definitely play here again.
Hidden Challenges
A very old and dated course tucked away amid also old but well maintained residences. It is more than an executive course but with no par fives and many short par fours it brings one's short irons into play quite often. There are many hidden small but in play water hazards which without prior knowledge will add to one's score in a hurry, a second time around should eliminate this problem. Overall the fairways and greens are in fair to good condition and though there is much water, we didn't see one sand trap on the entire course.
SLOW!!!!!
New owners have been successfully marketing and the course is now busy. Pace of okay is extremely slow. Need Marshall to move folks along.. I always enjoyed course because you could get into a rhythm, this is not the case any longer......it’s hit and sit!! Pack a snack for the down time. Check your stocks!! Par 66 course took over 3 hours to play.
Course condition continues to improve!!
I think this course will become a senior league location in the years ahead. Good money but limits those who want to get in a consistent and flowing round.
Nice little course
Played here many times. The course has new owners that have improved it 100%. Its a good course for seniors or players that cannot handle long yardage holes. I dont think high level golfers would find it a challenge. Good little course for me to play in addition to the long courses
Played this course for years
This course in the best shape it has ever been. New owners r really putting some time and money into it.
not bad
the course is not bad for seniors, ladies, kids or just to go out and hit the ball.
AA/BB
Course was wet and slow, seems like everyone was out in the good weather
Enjoyable Day of Golf
First time playing the course. Greeted by staff and helped us to check in. Golf carts were spotless! Some challenging holes making for decision shot making. Greens were fast and some tricky breaks.
Definitely going back. Good value for winter golf in this area. Most importantly, they make you feel welcome.
Fantastic new ownership!
We love this course the staff has always been outstanding and makes us feel so welcome! New ownership has already made amazing improvements and we are thrilled to play here!
Getting better
Course is improving each time I play!! Drainage is being addressed and I’ve noticed a marked improvement. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are also improved especially with their grooming. Course is starting to look much better and inviting. Trees are being pruned or removed, brush is getting cut back, not so wild looking. Hoping the course continues to improve. Also, club house is being renovated with larger kitchen area, new seating and a new paint job.
keep up the good work
executive course , but had more par fours than i expected
everyone is talking about the new owners bringing it back , even though it was my first time , I could tell they are putting some tlc into the place
