The Shores of North River Golf Club

Beautiful windy day, for first half of round. Play slow so I joined up with golfer ahead of me. We enjoyed the rest of our game together. Front nine I did very well.....not so much on back nine!! Oh well, that’s golf!!!

Wife and I played 18 in a cart. No waiting and no one waited on us. About 12 minutes per jole. Some water hazards but most were dried up. Lost only 1 ball. Good condition with fast, rolley greens. Challengein but forgiving. Will return, although it is about 30 miles away.

Fantastic Fall Florida Weather! First real day of cool, breezy, low humidity weather this Fall. Course was packed and pace of play was very slow. Drainage has been improved greatly and only a few areas have standing water and spongy approach aprons and greens!!

This was the busiest day I’ve ever seen, except when there’s a tournament. Looks like the change in weather brought golfers out of the woodwork.

Even though it was slow I had one of my better rounds at this course!!

My 38 year old son and I (69) played 18 starting at about 10:30am. 3 hours later we were done, and enjoyed the play immensely. He got 3 birdies and 4 pars for a pretty good score. It is shorter than a full courde, but has about 10 or 12 par 4 holes. So not just an irons course, need a driver for some of the 300+ yard holes. A fun a challenging course but short enough to walk and while it has some water and bunkers it is very forgivibg. Will be back as often as possible. A few greens still need attention but overall a good course. Driving range has cash only ball dispenser : $4 minimum.

The new owners have made many improvements including new golf carts, new ice/water machine, remodeling of clubhouse, and clean up of overgrowth and dead trees. Fairways and greens are well maintained and staff is very friendly.. A great course and very affordable.

Course is in decent shape. Most fairways are well maintained. Some areas have crab grass but nothing outrageous. For the money it’s not bad but don’t expect the most challenging layout. Definitely a fun/shorter course.

Nicely manicured course with challenging greens with several water hazards all and all fun course

This is a great short course, no sand but has its’ share of water. The greens are in good shape and have their challenges.

The staff is great and the club house is always cool and the food is fresh. Oh, almost forgot the cold beer.

Beautiful course. Fantastic shape. Challenging.I have played this course off and on for 25 years. Best shape it has ever been. I now play it at least once a week. Recommend to anyone.

I came back to Florida from Maine for a few weeks and after a rainy week, I decided to try a round between the raindrops. The day before it was an hours long deluge and I was anticipating a soggy, soft, muddy course. To my surprise it wasn’t!!!! The course looks great, big improvement from springtime. Fairways and approaches are well defined and cut perfectly. Greens were green, smooth and fast. The biggest plus was that the drainage has really been improved and I was able to ride on the grass when I wanted to. Usually after any rain, in the past, the carts only signs were up. The biggest improvements were holes #2 and #8. In the past they were very soft and muddy near and around the greens. Hole #12 was better but was still quite soft on the south side of the green. Tom at the desk is the best!! He’s very professional, cordial and helpful. He welcomed me back and wondered where I had been. The carts are also a major improvement, especially the club bonnets, that came in handy when it rained briefly during my round. Hopefully, I’ll be playing several more times before we head back to Maine for the rest of the summer, if the rain ever stops!!

My wife is new to the game, and I was looking for a course that was challenging but stress-free and forgiving. I found it here! Well maintained, easy pace of play, excellent greens and an overall friendly and welcoming atmosphere. One of the nicest clubhouses with even nicer staff (Jean was awesome!). We will definitely be back!

When I played the front nine was closed due to water. Not a big issue. The guy who checked me in said play as many holes as you want! Nice course to work on your game. Short par fours but you must hit it online. greens were still bumpy from aeration but ahad a good time.

Very enjoyable morning. Weather had been very rainy , therefore we played the back nine twice. Still had a good time.

Fun little course. Friendly staff.

Will definitely be back to play again.

I have played golf at North River many times and each time I play the course gets better. The greens are in good shape the fairways are nice and you can play a round under 3 hours. The staff is the best and the food is good. I would recommend this course to all ages and skill levels, it’s a fun place to play.

Fairways are no different than the rough. Although, it is under new ownership, it is still the same as it was 20-30 years ago.
