Nice course for average golfer
Nicely manicured course with challenging greens with several water hazards all and all fun course
Great course
This is a great short course, no sand but has its’ share of water. The greens are in good shape and have their challenges.
The staff is great and the club house is always cool and the food is fresh. Oh, almost forgot the cold beer.
North river shores
Beautiful course. Fantastic shape. Challenging.I have played this course off and on for 25 years. Best shape it has ever been. I now play it at least once a week. Recommend to anyone.
Great Shape
I came back to Florida from Maine for a few weeks and after a rainy week, I decided to try a round between the raindrops. The day before it was an hours long deluge and I was anticipating a soggy, soft, muddy course. To my surprise it wasn’t!!!! The course looks great, big improvement from springtime. Fairways and approaches are well defined and cut perfectly. Greens were green, smooth and fast. The biggest plus was that the drainage has really been improved and I was able to ride on the grass when I wanted to. Usually after any rain, in the past, the carts only signs were up. The biggest improvements were holes #2 and #8. In the past they were very soft and muddy near and around the greens. Hole #12 was better but was still quite soft on the south side of the green. Tom at the desk is the best!! He’s very professional, cordial and helpful. He welcomed me back and wondered where I had been. The carts are also a major improvement, especially the club bonnets, that came in handy when it rained briefly during my round. Hopefully, I’ll be playing several more times before we head back to Maine for the rest of the summer, if the rain ever stops!!
Great course!
My wife is new to the game, and I was looking for a course that was challenging but stress-free and forgiving. I found it here! Well maintained, easy pace of play, excellent greens and an overall friendly and welcoming atmosphere. One of the nicest clubhouses with even nicer staff (Jean was awesome!). We will definitely be back!
Nice little course
When I played the front nine was closed due to water. Not a big issue. The guy who checked me in said play as many holes as you want! Nice course to work on your game. Short par fours but you must hit it online. greens were still bumpy from aeration but ahad a good time.
Very enjoyable morning. Weather had been very rainy , therefore we played the back nine twice. Still had a good time.
Fun course!
Fun little course. Friendly staff.
Will definitely be back to play again.
Great place to play golf
I have played golf at North River many times and each time I play the course gets better. The greens are in good shape the fairways are nice and you can play a round under 3 hours. The staff is the best and the food is good. I would recommend this course to all ages and skill levels, it’s a fun place to play.

course condition
Fairways are no different than the rough. Although, it is under new ownership, it is still the same as it was 20-30 years ago.
Windy and Free
Got a Golfnow Deal and because I had a coupon this round cost me zilch, nada, zip!!!!
Thought I was playing with 3 others who took advantage of deal, but when I arrived the desk told me they wanted to play as a foursome and was paying for fourth person.
So off I went and played my round in 2 1/2 hours. Warm and windy. My driving was right in, putting was pitiful!!
Course is continuing to improve with lots of drainage work under way. More trees and shrubs have been removed. Course is dramatically more open. Due to lack of rain, greens very fast and course was in good shape, nice and green!
Score ok and I enjoyed my time on the course!
Very friendly staff
I enjoy this course especially since I can walk here.
The new owner is doing a great job of improving the grounds. He is usually around and is very friendly.
Long time player, at course.
Have played this course over the last 30 Year’s, it is in the best shape it has ever been in!! New owner has really made a big difference. Go give it a try, great for working on your short game.
my Home course. so I like this course very well new golf carts, and very nice people working there.
Fantastic
have played a few times over years but course was always rough/poor. Several years a go new management took over, but still not much improvement.
Saw it advertised as new management and went to scout out and found out someone else took over as new owner last year. Looked good so booked a round with my wife.
BIG improvement. All areas cleaned up, new tee boxes and much improved greens. Great course for a quick game.
We were behind 2 very slow foursomes, but 3 of our twosomes following skipped ahead (1 quit) and then a great pace of play. Need marshall out?

This course was just OK. My wife and I played it because it seemed that she would like it since it was very short. 12 par 4’s and 6 par 3’s.
Friendly warm up
Short par 66 course which is fairly open with just a few water features. Good course to play if you have not been active and before going out to one of the premier courses. They usually have a full schedule with the hot deals but play moves at a good pace. The shortness is complimented by the greens that seem to be true and sloped to make it a bit more challenging. Always a nice game with friendly folks.
Home away from home
We love our family at North River Shores! The staff is the best around and Andreis is making improvements aside from genuinely caring about his customers! We feel at home here!
Hi Abby, We applaud you for taking on a challenge! Thank you for your business and book your next tee time with us soon.
