Fun, relaxing course
Course is always getting better under new ownership( loved the past owners). This course offers a little bit of everything, big hitters need to be able to turn the ball, some shorter par 4's require other than driver. Hit it short on some holes, and you'll be punching out from the trees for your approach.
Great golf for cheap $$
I absolutely love this course. I'm officially making it my home course for practice for tournaments. They have great upkeep on the tee boxes, greens, and fairways. It definitely has its challenges. I've played here more times than I have any other course in Missouri. The brats and hot dogs are monster big and great for the price. The golf carts are well maintenance and the staff are always friendly, almost like family. I bought my first Titleist hat here and I scored a 70 during my round. Best score so far this year for me this year, coming off a neck/spinal injury last year.
Good value fun course
Good morning of golf. Course pretty good considering drought. Only issue was no Marshall on course and had group dangerously hurting into us all day. We spoke with group and he could care less. Any problems on course you will need to handle yourself.
Course played well and staff inside shop was some of the friendliest I have ever come across
Disappointed
Heavily overbooked on the weekends no marshall to maintain pace of play.no beverage cart.carts themselves have no brakes no ball washers no electronic scoring.as for the course itself the greens are in good condition but extremely slow but the fairways are tight lies and alot of bald spots around the edges.the cart path is an absolute joke so far gone most people drive on the grass..huge dropoffs around the cart path so be careful when walking or exiting the cart.overall it's fairly priced for the conditions however there are nicer courses to play for a few more dollars.
Below average
First thing that stood out was the greens were definitely green but they were longer than the fairways, probably to keep them from drying up during this heat wave. The cart paths are frequently in the middle of the fairways, so they come into play a lot. Terrible condition and there’s a lot of dirt and gravel surrounding the paths so it makes for very strategic shots. Tee boxes were in decent shape. Went out by myself and played the front nine in one hour but the back nine took a lot longer due to people wanting to just play the back nine.
Great Course for the Money.
Great course for the money. Only real drawback is the golfers not understanding fundamentals and etiquette of the game and the management not enforcing rules. Other than that, it’s an enjoyable place to go.
Interesting and quirky - slow greens
The layout is quirky in that the routing weaves in an out and is fitted into the rolling hills. There are numerous dog-legs that require less than driver and a rangefinder (if you are not intimately familiar with the course) to place your tee shot. Off-line approach shots can hit into the next tee box. Finally, we have not had an appreciable rain in 2 weeks, so the greens have been allowed to grow long - thus, the speed is slow compared to other courses in the area. They could be rolled to allow faster speed, but that only lasts so long through the day.
