Golfer Reviews
Ratings were good!
Fun course with small greens for the most part which made it quite challenging. Course was in good condition with very good greens at reasonable cost. Our group wants to play again!
Lots of sand
The architect apparently has an interest in the sand wedges because you will go through a lot of them after your round. Even the restaurant is named Bunkers.
But I think they should rename the restaurant "Sirens" because the fire rescue station is on the premises and the vehicles are forever going out carting the old people in Sun City off to the hospital or wherever their final destination is.
Very Florida Course
Nice place and nice people but doesn’t suit me well. Fairway turf is sparse and sandy. Lots of water hazards and bunkers so you need to play target golf. Greens are nice....small and tricky. A course you need to learn. It beat me up pretty bad....lol.
A prize for the price
Got off on time. The pace of play was excellent. Greens in really good shape. Usually not mentioned but none of the pins were in wacky places. Tee's were level and well maintained. Played Lakes to Palms. Would have preferred Lakes to Oaks but really enjoyed my day.
Decent, but not great
Sandpiper is a good course to go when you can get in an elite (five star) course. It is always in decent shape and the staff is always accommodating and super nice. However, the pace of play was horrific today.
Quick round
The course wasn't very busy for a change, course was in very good shape, as good as I've seen it. Bunkers bar was a nice place to stop and have a beer after the game.
Challenging course...will go again
Challenging course, many bunkers come into play, narrow and small greens....Course management is advised..
