Won't go back
We had an 8:02 tee time. The staff inside wanted to argue with me about how to pay. My debit card doesn't have tap&pay and she insisted that was how I had to pay. We were running a couple of minutes late and the starter was yelling at us to hurry up. We got to the 1st tee box and we couldn't even tee off because of the 4-some in front of us being in the fairway. The group in front of us all had their own private carts and were playing very slow which slowed everyone else down. The greens were tiny and not well kept. We definitely won't be going back
Greens are pretty good
The course has potential, but too many bare spots to call it great. The course is overall good.
Good for an Afternoon
Decided to come back to the Sandpiper for an afternoon round on a Saturday. The course was pretty wide open at 3:30 for my tee time, which was appreciated as a solo cart.
Some tee boxes and greens areas need to be addressed/seeded, as they looked a bit abused, but the overall impression (even of the "rough" areas) was well-kempt and a good surface.
I will be coming back, as the distance was very manageable and the challenge for an afternoon of practice was perfect.
The place was amazing
I loved the course and the staff, it was overall beautiful and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be playing here again.
It's okay
If you're looking for budget golf, this is your place. The greens are in fair condition and the rough and fairways do have grass which is a vast improvement since last year.
Early morning
Course was very crowded. Had to wait 15 minutes to play the 2nd nine. Course was in decent shape.
Late Day Round = Good Deal
Decided to book a tee time in the afternoon on a Saturday, and was surprised to see a pretty wide open course. The Starter explained the layout, I loaded my bag, and took off. Good layout overall, and with only a foursome in front of me (I quickly caught up as a single player), I was able to relax and hit a few "situation practice" shots to maintain pace.
Poor communication
I love this course. I usually never have any problems, but this time, I booked my tee time and drove to the course only to find out that I was unable to play because I booked my tee time was 3:38 and their last tee time was only available until 3pm. I was playing by myself and the course was empty so it would’ve taken me 2 hours max to finish the round. All the course needed to do was let me know they don’t let players out past 3pm when I booked the tee time.
Nicest course in the area
People in pro shop snack bar starter were all extremely nice. It is a shame being sold for more houses.
Enjoyed the course
Like playing here. Convenient location and decent course. Hope they don’t close it
Poor Conditions
Worst condition I have ever seen this course in. The Lakes was horrible. Bad from tee to green. Not sure if they have stopped maintaining because what is going on with the future of the course or what. I usually play this course 3-4 a month and would consider it my “Home” course. Not any more….
Good day of golf
Although it’s getting quite pricey I do enjoy the course. Conveniently located as well
