will NEVER give these people another dollar.
First off, the employee was very rude. We payed 20 dollars just to have a cart to ourselves, which the employee was extremely rude about. Once we got to the 3rd hole another golfer was yelling at the top of his lungs at us for no reason what so ever. Could not even enjoy a single hole of golf due to this individual yelling the whole time. Once we got to the 8th hole there was a dead possum in the fairway. I would not ever recommend coming to this place.
Lazy Caddy
The caddy met us in the parking lot, and after signing in, picked the cart she wanted to ride in. She seems to know the course well, but only stayed with us for 16 out of 18 holes. See image of the dog in the cart.
Overall, the course was in pretty good condition. Greens were great, and larger than I remembered, but that's okay. Tee boxes were a bit rough. Fairways good. The range balls looked like they met with a very angry mower.
Beautiful greens and oak trees
In all of my 50 years of playing golf I cannot remember nicer Bermuda greens than these. They were soft enough to accept a divot but extremely smooth. I have never putted better and I owe most of it to the condition of the greens. That's the highlight. Carts were OK, clubhouse oldish and well used. Except for several stands of stately old oak trees it's pretty wide open. Low fees make this very much a good value.
Fairways are mowed. Tees are green with grass. Greens are exceptional all year. Even in the winter, the greens are the best.
Our group plays Morgan's Dairy about 3 times a month. We find that the greens are very good all year. The fairways are wide which fits a novice golfer well. We see many retirees playing the course during the week,, but the weekends are filled with working guys who love this course. I do not belong to Canongate, but rate this course's greens with Canongate and better.
