Friendly track with wide variety of shot shapes required, nice greens
Maple Meadows is a very nice course, and in typically good condition. The layout requires a wide-array of shots both off the tee and fairways, and the greens are typically fast, even when wet. The only caveat I have is the course could REALLY use GPS to help speed up play; I saw a lot of folks (including in my group) wandering around looking for distance markers. Definitely worth the trip.
Well maintained and challenging
Enjoyed a great early morning round of blue tees. Requires some thought of tees regarding club selection and course management important. A good test for any golfer at a very reasonable rate.
It's fine
This course was fine. It's not the prettiest course, but it's fairly well kept. It's a bit expensive for what it is, unless you golf at the twilight rate. When we were out there was a group in front of us in blue jeans who were very slow and very rude and this ruined our overall experience on the course.
Good Course
Compared to the other $50-70 dollar courses in the area, I enjoyed this course very much. The tall grass rough is a nice looking but brutal in finding balls in. All in all a good golfing experience. Also $2.50 PBR tall boys are always a plus in my book.
golfer friendly
Fair but challenging course with big greens and fresh sand in most bunkers. .front nine can be windy at times.
Better than expected
Never played this course before, expected average conditions and being a sunday after the 4th of July expected a 5-hour round or longer...course was in very very good shape and got around in 4-1/2 hours with little or no waiting....very positive day
Plan on many return visits
People are very friendly. You can be a little errant and still have a decent score. It can play long if you decide to. I have played this course many times and expect to play many more. Good bang for the buck. On the course and in the pro shop.
Nice job by the Forest Preserve
They're going a good job of running and maintaining this course. The greens were in good shape with some very challenging pins. Fairway grass was a good length. My only complaint was the pace of play was 4.5 hours, and with a gap two groups ahead it could have been shortened.
I'll likely play it again if I can get a similar rate. Well worth the money.
Great course
Very well kept. Not overly long, but pretty challenging with water, dog legs and bunkers. Greens were true but challenging pin placement. Enjoyed myself throughly
The course is in excellent shape.
I enjoy the variety in this course layout. It gives you two different styles and with the Golf Now "Fast Play" deal, it was a great value. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Course was in better shape than I thought for being so early in the season.
It was a little cold and windy when we played. Had to keep shots lower or wind would take it. Sand traps were a little bare, but it was to be expected. Greens were decent, but didn't read true. Overall, a good experience for early in the season.
5 stars for value
this is mostly a links style course (no trees). I really enjoy the layout of this course and the conditions were excellent. i enjoyed the smooth and fast greens here. This course is more fun to play then the sister course next door Oak Meadows.
not as easy as you think
the course is kept in good shape, you can have a good round if you play the right tees for your level
Nice course to play. I will visit it again
The greens are challenging. occasionally pin placement is unfair. When you putt uphill 4' and the ball rolls back at you I consider that unfair. Condition overall was what you might expect in Chicagoland in Dec. A little shaggy.
very good condition.
the course is challenging and condition was so good. Dupage county maintained the course very well.
Pace can sometimes be slow if the course is busy
Some very thin fairways. The water is well placed. 16 is a challenging 200 yd par 3.
Links Course hahaha
I'll make this short and sweet, just because the course is wide open with a few sand traps and few trees does not make it a links style course. If anything this is closer to parkland but either way its not worth even trying to classify it. Poor greens, poor fairways, chalked up tee boxes. If your mission is to get wasted on $2 tall boys of PBR than this is your course because thats what they sell.
Need maintenance
We want to replay on sameday but too expensive and staff was very rude
