Maple Meadows Golf Club - West Eighteen

Maple Meadows is an extremely well kept course - 18 holes are very challenging and gives you the feeling of being on vacation somewhere other than locally. Staff was very friendly & hot dogs are especially good!! Very efficient starter plus the rangers didn't drive you crazy like some courses! The course is very forgiving and fair for women with some of the tee boxes moved up (almost too much on the par 3's). Would definitely come back.

There were couple bunkers they weren't in good condition but overall the golf course was wiell taking care,

Maple Meadows is a good layout. It's in fair condition. Many greens were recently aerated on part of the green. There were also numerous unrepaired ball marks. A few of the bunkers had little sand and were in need of repair. A good value at $32.

The course is challenging but fair. About 4 or 5 greens needed repair, otherwise course in great shape. We flew as a twosome through first 9 then got slow on the back.

We played this course earlier in the year. This time the course wasn't in the best of shape. The course is avg for the price. Fairways where in good shape. the greens where cut down and had a lot of bumps as you where putting from previous divots and spots where they cut too deep. it probably hasn't help with the rain we have been getting. If the price was a little bit less would give it more of a rating. Fairways are open so keeping it play is good. Fairway rough is cut down so its easier to find your ball if you stray right or left. Overall will wait for the season to wind down before playing it again.

Always a nice track for the value, but after some moderate rain, at least 50% of the holes had standing water. A few holes were totally washed out and turned into a par 3 from the 150 yard marker. Almost all of the bunkers were unplayable with standing water, and those that were playable could really benefit from having some sand added.

I golfed the day after a terrible amount of rain the evening before so it was cart path only. After getting out on the course the cart path only was truly justified. Of course not as enjoyable, but I had a good time. Considering the awful winter we had, and the storm the evening before, the course is in pretty good shape. Quite a few dead trees, as on just about any other course. I will definitely play here more before the season is over.

this course is okay but they need to pay some attention to their green and bunkers very poor condition

Most of the greens were not in good shape. Sand traps were horrible. Some of the traps were washed out. Pace of play was very slow. On the back 9 there were 2 groups on every tee. Never saw a marshall. Tees were torn up. Nothing good to say.

actually a very nice play to play for the rates we got . unfortunately a twosome in front of our foursome was allowed to hold up play because of freindship with course staff . if course woul uphold rules for all , including their freinds and employees , this would be a great place to play.

Liked the reconfigured holes, seems to speed up play

The course was great, unfortunately it was extremely windy on this afternoon. There was little protection against the wind which made a challenging course even tougher. The staff and course was great, I would definitely recommend to a friend and I plan on golfing this course again on a less windy day!

Good course for the beginning of the year. When it is not too windy, great conditions for scoring.

This course is a pretty good bang for the buck. Lost of open area with very little trees. On a windy day, be careful. The roughs can get pretty nasty at times and you may never see your ball again. Greens and fairways are in good shape and well kept. Couple challenging holes, but nothing to bad. Not a lot of water either.

I have played Maple Meadows several times and am never disappointed. Most of the time it is well maintained but recently played after 3 or 4 days of rain and it was a little soggy and needed mowing (fairways and greens). Not the courses fault due to mother nature. Overall good value, playable for all levels. A few of the holes are really hard (215 yd Par 3, and a few 425+ par 4's from blue's). We were also first off the tee so our round played less than 3 hours, with cart path only. Normally during peak times it can be a little slow, so play early or late if you have a choice.

This course is well maintein and moderate course. I will reconmend to people

Greens were in great shape. Saw one other group on course which made for a fast round.

Maple Meadows is a nice 18 hole prarie style course. Front nine is easier than back. Well maintained with excellent greens. No blind holes or steep doglegs--everything is more or less in front of you. A few deceptive drives that penalize slices severely (i.e., lost ball even when land in right fairway) due to steep inclines.

Well maintained. Nice smooth greens for the most part. Not every hole is a grip it and rip it. Some strategy must be used.

Nice Forest Preserve course. Fairways, greens, bunkers, and rough were all well taken care of. Friendly service in the pro shop. Would definitely play again!
