Stay out of the bunkers!
Every bunker we came into contact with was full of rocks, some quite large!
Poorly managed
Terrible pace of play. There was no starter, they let a group of 6 play together, and a 2 groups of 4 in front of us were 10 minutes late for their tee time and they still let them play backing up everyone else.
Will not be back as there was no course management, even though the actual course was fun.
Golf It
Just give it a go! You are golfing and what else do you want to do on a great day? Well maybe boating.
Fast greens and wild balls
Back 9 wasn't in great shape. There was some flooding and the grass was pretty patchy. We were warned by a friends to be careful of balls coming at you. There are a lot of balls flying from different directions. One grazed the forehead of one of our foursome. You can't see where they are coming from with the way the holes are designed. Overall it's not a terrible course but we won't be coming back anytime soon.
Slow Play
Golf Visions is so stupid when it comes to tee time intervals, it is always 7/8 and makes for a stupidly crowded course. I used to like Chapel Hill because it was a relaxed round without a ton of crowding, not anymore...
Great course for the money
If you’re looking for a course for beginners where you won’t be losing too many golf balls this one is the perfect course. The layout is great and the staff are friendly. I would highly recommend.
