Stonewall Orchard Golf Club

First time playing Stonewall. Unfortunately, it started raining at the very start and by the time I finished 18 holes, I was playing in a steady rain. But, this didn't dampen my experience that much. I will definitely play this course again, hopefully when it's dry. Challenging, but not to the point where you can't score. Wide fairways, but if you go too far to the sides of the fairway, you get into 3 inch rough grass. Course was in great shape. A little pricier that your average course in the area, but still worth the experience.

This course is awesome! The service from the moment you leave your car in the parking lot is top notch. The starter was very kind and gave us all the tricks of the trade. The course played very well and the greens were in great condition. I would absolutely go back for another round!

Stonewall is certainly one of the top public golf courses in the northwest suburbs. From the moment you step out of your vehicle you’re treated like a member. Beautiful clubhouse and incredible course. Holes are challenging but playable from various sets of tees. Greens, bunkers, tees and fairways are pampered and true. Played on a Tuesday afternoon in less than 3 hours.

Highly recommended for an ultimate of golfing experience!

Course was great beautiful very well maintained but I was there on a Monday and the kitchen must have been closed couldn’t even get a dog. Also the cart path only with the carts can be annoying with the layout of the course. Everything else was great.

This course is one of my favorite golf courses to play. If you get the opportunity, play it.

I had one of the first teetimes, so I’m not so sure if my review of the pace of play is true.

Played for my birthday over Memorial Day weekend, great course, great time. Will be coming back again!

Played with a buddy who hadn’t been up to Stonewall in a while. Course is fun and demanding from the golf tees. Par 5’s are gettable with good drives, some thought provoking par 4’s were driver is always the best option and some par 3’s that all challenge with water in different ways. Greens were very good even with a few punches done by grounds crew on the high spots of the greens. This was not by the pins unless you hit a poor approach and should grow in a few days.

This Kors is on a lot of land and is in great shape and was really fun. It's a tough challenge for all golfers.

Overall, the reputation did not meet my expectations. I heard it was a top course in Illinois, but I’ve played much better courses. The greens were poor and the lakes / ponds were murky and traps were poorly maintained.

The food, especially the hot dog, was very disheartening.

Great staff and facility and practice area and hi end challenging course. So beautiful too. We are fortunate to have such a nice course open to public.

Stonewall Orchard is hands down the best public course in the area. Beautiful course, great amenities, and friendly staff.

Stonewall Orchard was a very nice course, I haven't played an Arthur Hills layout in a while and it was very interesting. A few hole required some carry and other holes required very precise tee shots. Conditions were very good and course is well maintained. Very fun gfolf experience.
