Glenview Prairie Club

Fun little executive course that is always in better shape than it probably needs to be. I wish I would have had something like this to play on when I was a youth.

There are at least four tee boxes on each hole, so you can really move up to a tee that suits your game. Please do move forward, because there is no shortage of water, prairie grass mounds and bunkers. Strangely they are one of the few courses left that still do the ridiculous hygiene theater thing where there are no rakes in the bunkers……it’s unfortunate because the place is so well appointed and maintained otherwise. (Even the other park district course in town has abandoned this absurd practice)

They have a beautiful patio that overlooks the pond/final hole. Also a nice practice green and some youth programs that are quite popular.

Course is in great shape. 9 holes, par 4’s and par 3’s. Various tees allows for all to have a challenge. Greens, fairways and tees are very lush. No rakes for the bunkers and no ball washers yet. $22 for 9 holes just a bit much. Overall, a great day for myself and my wife.

Great course for a quick 9. Course is well maintained, staff is friendly, and a great value for the price. 9th hole is set up for a great risk reward shot. Go for the green on a short par 4 or risk hitting the water along the entire right side and sand protecting the green on left.

Not super long. Great shape. Doesn’t take too long to play.

Stopped by Glenview Prairie Club on our way from Milwaukee to Harborside. Great short course in terrific condition. Staff was incredibly friendly as well.

I lived in Glenview for seven years and never played this course and I thought I would give it a try.

Too much traffic on account of it being part of a paddle tennis facility. The pace of play is very slow because everyone walks, but due to the layout many tee boxes are a ways from the greens and I played with three older gentlemen and pushing your full bag uphill and into the wind was difficult. The greens are "dual" design in some places, which I find unappealing, but they make it work.

If you've got some time to shoot around with friends and don't mind a mild course for a two and a half hour walk, you're good to go.
