Don’t waste your money

Arrived at the reception / pro shop and nobody was there for 10 minutes. Course conditions are not great to say the least. For the price the course charge you would expect better conditions. Fairways may aswell be rough. Greens are full of holes and bare ground.

The 11th hole tee box shows it’s for the 5th hole. 1st hole is scattered with range balls. Green keepers drove over my ball on the fairway and tore it to shreds. All round bad experience and would definitely not recommend for price charged.

This course has a great layout and if kept well it would be brilliant

Great looking course with good amenities but it’s just not kept all too well , the tee boxes are in very poor condition , the greens were watered while we were playing leading to puddles and often bits of the greens were missing and had dirt chunks left in its place. If it just had a bit more upkeep it would be a fantastic course.

Great Course for a full day out.

Great course overall, tee boxes need attention, fairways could be more defined, Great facilities on site, (food and drink especially) all in all a great place to get a care free round in with friends.

Great value for money

This is the best value for money golf in Kildare. The course is well layed out and will test your all round game. The pro shop is well stocked and the staff are very friendly. My only criticism is that some of the greens are not very well kept. Other than this, 10/10.

Nice course

Nice course. The course was well maintained. The biggest issue was that the signage was very poor. Otherwise, it was a lovely course and the weather was perfect to go with it.

Avoid Avoid Avoid

Hard to believe this course is even open to the public given the awful condition it was presented in. Greens absolutely covered in sand. Fairways uncut. Bunkers just terrible.

Highfield Golf Course

Staff very friendly. Course layout is a mess. Foot Golf mixed in with The actual Golf course. Signage all over the place.

Very average Golf course. I won't be rushing back. Course is for beginners. Needs more water and bunkers around a lot of the holes. Typical average flat Parkland Course.

The 1st hole off the clubhouse roof is something else. That's all I can really say. I felt the course was too short. Apart from the Par 5 12th. Tee boxes are a mess, need improvement. Uneven surfaces to be honest. 6 Par 3's says everything. I shot a 93. Not bad for my standard. Another Golf course off my list. Got a cheap deal at €18 couldn't say no. I don't think I'll be back if I'm honest. Too average. Not enough of a challenge (real challenge).

Tee times

Tee times were not keeping with the booking times. The society booking was holding up play started 15 min late. People who were playing futgolf weren't respectful kicking ball on tee boxes very noisy. However, the whether was good management to play full 18 holes. Happy with that.

Greens

Greens very bumby. For some reason pitch marks not being repaired by players. This needs to be encouraged by club staff.

Tee boxes very uneven effecting your stand when addressing the ball.
