Continental Country Club

We were a foursome (2 men 2 women) and we had to wait on every hole for a foursome of men. Our round took just under 4 and a half hours which is TOO slow. A Ranger may have been able to speed them up. It was a shotgun and there were groups also waiting behind us.

Greens in good condition. (over seeded). Fairways in good condition considering time of year. Staff very friendly.

Booked a 12:34 tee time but upon arrival was told it was a 1pm shotgun start. They do one AM shotgun start and one PM shotgun start. Had to start on 5th hole, group B.

My first time playing Continental and was pleasantly surprised. It was a shotgun start and was run very efficiently and the staff was great helping us out on our first time at the course(local members very welcoming as well). Played as a twosome and pace was great, seemed like a lot of the locals quit after 9 so it felt like we had the course to ourselves. Most holes were in decent shape, only a few bad spots so give it a try.

We have played this course, off and on, for several years. The fairways were a bit thin earlier this Fall, but have improved with the overseeing. They had a problem on the greens that was partly due to a pump that went out--but the greens also are improved. Only 2 greens with some problems. The course gives an up north feel. Lots of large oak trees. We like the character of the course. We'll be back again soon. .

This course is a challenging course that is in great shape. They have put a lot of money getting it to where it is today. Although I am not a member, I call this my home course. Keep up the great work!

we knew they were overseeding but did not realize it was a shotgun start at 1 pm on a regular basis

We played here many times last year on the shot gun format, very good and pleasant, this year the course is in very bad shape, the grass has been overcome with weeds andlots of areas was dirt. Yes they have laid down seeds all over, but this wil take months to grow and hopefully give you a nice fairway. You only ride the roughs and the cart paths. It s in really bad shape, they are very nice people and I wish them all the best , we love playing there but we will have to pass this year.

Greens were pretty good, ran true. Fairways in poor condition. Shotgun for all regardless of what it says on Golfnow. Good overall value.

I maybe didn't see this course at it's best, and it is due to close shortly for reseeding. There were certainly lots of bare areas on the fairways, which was a shame as in decent condition this would be a good place to play. Not that it's really bad, it just could be better.

The fairways are generally pretty generous, so this is a course that would suit all standards of golfers. The tees were functional, but not especially great, but the frequently sloping greens were decent and ran well. The bunkers I went in all had loads of sand in.

I'd definitely play here again, although hopefully there will be more grass on the fairways.

This was a shotgun start which was ok but the course was cart path only because a pump has been down and they had not been able to water fairways and they were really dry I think you should put on tee time that it is cart path only and also that it’s a shotgun start

Played w a handicapped player who wasnt able to play due to course rules.

This was our first time back since early fall. We stayed away because the course was being worked on and there were a lot of issues to be fixed. Glad to say that most of the troubling issues have been fixed and with the exception of number 1 green things are vastly better. Speaking on No. 1, the only problem there is patchy bare spots on the back left quarter which I assume will be taken care of shortly. As usual there was the standard shotgun start with mostly residents filling the slots. This can be problematic as there are a lot of elderly players and they can be really slow. We eventfully skipped ahead and there was no one in front of them the rest of the way around. Other than the afore mentioned issues it was a great day on a much improved course. We will be back.

Greens are in excellent condition. Fairways need work

They have really worked to remove some trees to let more sun into the fairways. It's working. Still some sparse grass in places. All of the greens were very good, except number 1. Great course to play on hot, sunny days as there are plenty of oak trees to park under. Overall, a great course for the price.

We were told it was cart path only due to two inches of rain the previous night. Although it was wet, the course was in really good shape. The green are well maintained but lack challenge.
