Cypresswood Golf & Country Club

Played Cypresswood Golf & Country Club near Winter Haven today (4-26-2026) for the first time and found the greens are minty!

Fairways are an 8 and tee boxes need a lil TLC. Frankly, tee boxes are overrated given I use tees on them. Pace of play was slower than I like at 4 hours, 20 min. Most would consider that reasonable, especially on a Sunday mid morning tee off.

Highly recommend this new to me course!

In good shape, fast greens. Friendly staff. Worth the money

Git a great deal on Golf Now. 3 players for $115 total. Lady behind counter was super nice and helpful. Starter and marshall were also very nice. Pace of play on a Sunday was pretty bad. 3 hours to play front 9 and over 5 hours overall. But course was in very good condition. Greens were great, tee boxes very good. Fairways were average but we are still in middle of a drought. Definitely great value and will go back.

When playing on a course you have never played before it can be a little sticky to begin with. We cut our losses on balls and tried to keep moving. We were reminded throughout the course and even after starting the second half when we had people have us go before them because they were waiting for players. They weren’t waiting for us at the tee box but we were told the greens in front of you are open and hurry along. OK we got it we won’t be back but we will finish out the course because people are not waiting on us! If they were we would politely let them pass. They are not inviting at all. If I were looking for a place to buy a home it would not be next to here.

This course was in the best shape I've seen in years. The greens were incredible. Keep up the great work restoring this course.

Course is very challenging. Tea boxes and greens are perfect. It’s in between you. Have to worry about.

Got a Hot Deal for my first time playing this course. Very impressed with the layout. Greens were firm and fast, but consistent throughout. Sand traps were clean and effectively placed throughout the course. Starter was nice and friendly. Will definitely return!

Can someone please explain why in all the Traps there are tire tracks and only raked on the edges? Center of all traps look like concrete with tread marks as if someone drove a small vehicle around then raked the edges.

Everyone I play with are now putting out of thses rock hard traps. If you overlook the traps the course has improved now please properly rake your traps and the rating will improve

The greens have been improving. Fairways were a little sparse in places but playable. Bunkers on the back nine could use a good power raking. It took almost an hour to get a turkey wrap in the bar.

Course hasn't been very good, the past few years.starting to get better last year,and this year improvements are starting to show ,lots of tree trimming, and the greens are better than I have seen in 5 years. Over all maintenance has improved. Good quality course.

Golf was a good challenge, but the fact I was suppose to play with a group and ended up joining others was disappointing. Staff is as friendly and caring. All guests were also friendly as many of these courses are part of a gated or specific community.

Course conditions have approved, but the greens are all the consistency of finished concrete. Hard grass cut super low, ball was rolling and flying off the green all day. Miss putts rolled out twice as far as they normally would. I've played plenty of fast greens, this is not the same thing lol

Also the fairways and tee boxes were beat up on a few holes. Worth $50 but if you're paying more than that you have better options available.
