Enjoyable
Not the first time playing here. Always a good time, if a little slow play but still a good deal for the money. Fairways need a little work as do the tee boxes. Found the greens in good shape if quite fast. We'll be back.
Eh
Standing on the 1st T, one could tell the super didn't believe in watering the course. I hear that central Fla is experiencing a drought but this was ridiculous. Greens were burned out, fairways patchy and tee boxes same. No matter where your ball landed, it was like hitting from the parking lot. Played with 3 regulars who swore it was a nice course. Layout was pretty cool, but just couldn't get past the condition of the course. IF they get rain, or the super decides to water and fertilize, (or both really) starting tomorrow, course may come back by May. If not, stay away.
Slow 4some ruined the day
We were 20 minutes delayed tee time, with an ensuing 4 and 40 minutes round. No rangers to move people along..waited on every tee for foursome in front who ended up 2 holes behind foursome in front of them.
This course is continually going downhill for course conditions. Love the layout but none to little grass in fairways. Greens are sketchy at best. Number nine green, needs a couple of sticks of dynamite.
Not worth the money
Course was very tired, fairways and greens burned brown , some greens shouldn’t be open , whole course is in desperate need of water and some TLC, on the positive side club house was great live music on the patio , good menu and friendly staff, that said we went for the golf , overall very disappointed.
Nice course
I enjoyed playing this course two days ina row. The staff wa very courteous. My only complaint would be the poor condition of several greens.
Rudest ever!
We were a 4some, overtaken and passed by a 3some without being asked.. told us WE needed to improve our pace of play and carried on. We finished the round in 4hrs 15 mins. Worst golf attitude we've ever encountered. IF I were this course I'd ban the 3some from play
Bad experience
First round we followed a group of 5, including. Course staff! Second( and last) round we were passed be a threesome who rudely suggested we pick up our pace. We were 4 hrs 15 mins in total. Will never play this course again. The course staff we met were excellent!
Review with caveat
Course was in terrible (that's being kind) condition. Not sure course super ever heard of water. Perhaps he/she was waiting for God to do it? Bare spots in fairways. Was hitting off of hard pan even middle of fairway. Greens completely burned out. Was like putting on a pool table. Tee boxes also needed attention, but since ur hitting off a tee, wasn't quite as much an issue. Layout was good. Round was $40 US. If course was in shape, and if they kept that rate, wud be a good experience. Sadly, those are 2 BIG IFs
Good winter conditions. A few greens had winter kill, but OK overall. Good value for price.
