Cypresswood Golf & Country Club

Ive played this course many times its a good layout and it was in good condition last year this year the greens are terrible the worst ive ever seen them the course over all is in bad condition but if you want a cheap golf round and a bad experience then go for it.

The course “master” was pretty rude. He informed us that we needed clubs for my sons and wife. So, we want to pick some up. When we got back he was talking with a guy in from of us about “where do they make these stupid people?” I’m sure he was talking about us. I was not aware of the rule since I never went to the course with any who did t have a set of clubs with them. He spent about 5-10 mins talking with the guy while the group ahead of them movers on. Then when he asked when our tee time was, he commented we were pretty late. But I explained we had been there for 25 mins. And if we had not had to get clubs or wait for him to joke around about people being stupid we would not have been late. Sometime around the 6th or 7th hole he came up telling us to pick up the pace. I understand pace and appreciate it, but I had 3 people that have never played at all before. And there was nobody behind us. The next group was an entire hole behind us still. And even if they had caught up I would have told them play through, since I know the inexperienced players I had with me were slower than the avg player. Then while I was walking 10-12 ft off the cart path to a ball on the 9th or 10th hole he drove up yelling “don’t walk drive to the ball.” This was during my son trying to hit his ball. While he is inexperienced, he was trying hard to concentrate on his shot. Not to mention he has ADHD and has problems with concentration. Needless to say that only slowed us down more because he had to chase an errant hit because of the guy yelling. Other than this guy and his issues, we had a great time.

Course needs major work. Fairway has grass ankle deep. Cart path is like riding down the worst road you’ve ever seen. Tee boxes have more sand than grass. Greens are dried out and in horrible condition. Course needs major work to be able to pay again. For 35 dollars still feel like I over paid.

I was happy to play at this course on a busy Saturday morning. I went out with a group of three others and had a nice time all around. The staff was friendly and made sure we went out on time. Nice practice facilities! The only downside is that the greens at this course needed a lot of work! Very dry and dead grass in lots of areas on lots of greens.

The course due to lack of rain was still playable. The group ahead of us were three holes behind the group in front of them. At 3:30 we gave up and left on the 15th hole. A Ranger would have been nice to move them a lot faster. We teed off at 10:15 slow play killed the round for us..

Course needs a lot of work. greens very rough oan fairways have a lot of space with no grass

Greens were in terrible condition patches and ruts all over. Fairway was burnt grass in several spots. Overall course itself was challenging in areas but was not well maintained at all. 3 holes had cigarette butts on the green. Was disappointed

we encountered a threesome who passed us without requesting our OK and made unwelcome and rude comments as they made their way past us. Words escape us and we WILL NOT return to this course. A sad sad experience
