Cypresswood Golf & Country Club

If it weren't for the strong winds and the ultra slow foursome of women in front of us it probably would not have taken 5 1/2 hours to play!

Course condition was very good. Some bare spots in fairways, but not excessive. Greens were pretty quick.

Nice layout, poor conditions. Almost no grass on any fairway, you better like hitting off of tight, tight fairways. Hopefully it will be better this summer but right now it's tough. Most of the greens were decent, pretty fast.

Rates are way to high in resort areas and I definitely paid more than this course was worth. If I had paid that

much money for a course around my home in that kind of shape I would certainly be unhappy.

I enjoyed playing Cypress Wood very good test of golf.

Staff was great as usual and pace was pretty good too. New management has taken over for conditions. They have their work cut out for them! If you want great conditions then pay more and go some place else, but if you are okay with less than stellar conditions, then they are okay and have a great restaurant for lunch!

I play Cypresswood quite a bit. It's an interesting layout. A few holes that reward hitting to a position and others that let you just rip it. Only one forced carry (depending on tees played), but there are several holes with lateral water close by.

They just replaced the grounds management team. The old group had let some of the greens get pretty spotty. During the summer the rough can get very tall and thick, but it's not bad this time of year. Hopefully in another couple of months, once the greens start growing again, they will get back to being a really nice course.

I played on a Sunday afternoon a couple of months ago (a gorgeous upper 70s November day) and zipped around the course in barely 3 hours. Yesterday, on a warm but very breezy day, it took 4 1/2 hours (that's what happens when the snowbirds are in).

The grill is a great place for a sandwich and beer after the round. Staff are always friendly!

I have played this course for many years. The layout is good, and pretty long - 6500 yards from the white tees. Even though the greens were all redone a few years back, they are still a problem. Hopefully they get a handle on them soon!

Even after it rain, the course was in excellent shape.

We played this course in early November & we’re not very impressed but today round was a lot better. Most of the Course; Tee’s, Fairways, Bunkers & Greens have improved tremendously so well done to the Cypresswood Team👏

It was a bit cool when we set off at 10:30am but soon warmed up and my wife & I enjoyed our round. The pace of play was ok but a bit of a hold up on the back 9 when a group 4 in front of us held everyone up while they individually sorted out their Refreshment Carts Orders leaving 3 different groups on the Tee.

All in all very please with the course and will play again.

Very good design. For better players , high end shot values.

Fairways average.

Greens , some in tough condition , others are just fine.

Green complexes ( chipping areas ) a bit rough.

With some tender , loving care , this course can be elevated because the layout itself is one of the best in this area.
