Quail Valley Golf Course
About
Quail Valley Golf Course was opened for public play in May of 1994.
This championship links-style course is 30 minutes west of downtown Portland just off of HWY 26. The combination of a country setting and a meticulously maintained course will make your round comfortable and undisturbed by city noise. The flat open look may give you the impression that the course is easy to play. Think again. The confident golfer will be surprised at the many hazards throughout the course.
Several grass mounds and small trees line the fairways, but the main cause for caution is the water and sand. Fairway and green bunkers are everywhere and the stealth-like water hazards are well placed.

Nice Greens
For the amount or rain we have had lately the greens were in great condition. The ball rolls true and fast. Some of the fairways were soggy but that is expected on any course in this area at this time of the year. I will be back to play this course again.
A nicourse with friendly staff
The course is in very good condition even after about a week of pretty heavy rain. Staff is extremly friendly and welcoming...
Surprisingly good alternative to Pumpkin Ridge.
I tried to play Pumpkin Ridge when I came down from Seattle, but it was closed. They referred me to QV and boy did I underestimate it. It's a typical inland links layout, but with lots of water in play. The design is solid with water and bunkering in play but good shots are rewarded. Conditions were great, and in the summer it's probably a better value over Pumpkin Ridge. I'll definitely be back.
links course with some tough holes but overall real fair
Course was in great shape but it was cold and the course was a little soggy in places. It is winter time and after about a week of rain it was in great shape.
Great value, nice greens.
I love this course. Great value for money, maintained well, good greens, interesting layout. Some nice risk/reward holes. Large fairways make aggressive tee shots enticing.
Putting surfaces are very nice right now.
Quail Valley is one of my regular courses but I tend to stay away from it once the rainy season has taken hold because the fareways get pretty messy. But right now, they are still in passable shape and the putting greens are as good as they get.
QV has a nice driving range (with grass stations usually available), good chipping and putting practice greens, and a nice clubhouse/grill with friendly staff all around.
Q-V was the best ever for this time of year!
Showed up yesterday about 10am. Fairways were freshly mowed, greens were mowed, cups were changed. Ran into the greens super (Rusty) on the second tee. Have never met him before but what a nice guy. Had the crew out trimming out the course and it was in fine condition! Highly enjoyable and a great deal on GolfNow.
Nice course
Course is in very good condition. Greens are terrific. Pace of play was steady. No waiting.
great combination of being challenging but also fair
A mid to high handicapper I found this course excellent. I was challenged but when I made good shots I was able to score well. Greens were quite fast but not unplayable. fairways had been plugged recently but were in good shape none the less.
I drove an hour to get to the course but it was worth it.
Wide fairways, great conditions
Course in great shape, a couple of interesting holes, some risk rewards shots, all in all great course
Fun well-maintained course with numerous water hazards, bunkers, and sloping greens challenges.
Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Portions of the fairways were plugged as part of course maintenance, but other than that the fairways seemed to be in well-maintained shape. And, in spite of the grass plugs we enjoyed our round. Out of the five courses we've played over the last month and a half this course had the the best manicured fairways and greens... the best.!
The Greens are usually some of the best in Washington County
The Greens at Quail Valley are usually fast and always true.
Windy conditions in the afternoon can make for tougher rounds.
Great practice facility which includes Range, chipping green and large putting green.
Good course, good deal...
The course was in good condition for Mid-October. The greens had been recently aerated, but were almost fully recovered. The fairways still had some firmness to them. Course is a decent layout, good warm-up area, chipping area with ball-retrieval 'rake', grass tees for the driving range. The fairways were also aerated, so we played LCP, but not a big deal. This is a 'links-style' course with just a few trees and a bit of tall grass. The 'hot deal' made this worth the drive, for the full $42 price, I'm not sure I would make the drive.
Beautiful forgiving course
This course had great fairways and greens. Had a few shots where I shot to the side, but was able to find my ball to continue play.
Course was a great condition.
The course and staff at Quail Valley are great. They treat you like family. This is one of the courses I consider everytime I play.
Beautiful location
Quail Valley is a wonderful setting near the foothills of the Coastal Range. Open fairways are forgiving yet approach shots and greens can be challenging.
Great shape!!!
course was in very nice shape and the greens were nice and tight. one of my favorite course. Would play more if it was not so far from home.
Great course nice shape great driving range get to hit from grass.
Had rained for two days in a row third day was very nice but the course was very wet and soggy no fault to any one. Had a great time will be back soon.
As always a great course
Played with a couple friends on Sept. 19th. The greens were in great condition. Course was in great condition.
